บท 11: Chapter 11: Drug Den?

After nearly killing Jean from laughter, we took a minute to calm back down, mainly because Jean needed it; just a few moments ago, she was literally on the ground crying while laughing so much that her stomach started to hurt.

"Hehe, Peter is a genius, but I feel like he is so stupid sometimes." Remarked Jean with a slight chuckle as she happily sat in her seat, laughing at her friend's past failures.

"Yeah, tell me about it; I feel the same about you. You're stupid, but you can also be smart sometimes." Said Tut with a smirk, causing Jean to give him a fake angry look as she pushed his shoulder.

"Hmph, sorry, Mr. all A's." Replied Jean as she looked away while Tut chuckled in response.

"Heh, what can I say? Geniuses can't be copied or created, only birthed." Stated Tut with a prideful smirk, earning him an eye roll from Jean, who just shook her head.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, but I don't think most geniuses have a crush on a cartoon character." Remarked Jean with a slight smirk as she looked at Tut, who blushed slightly in embarrassment.

"Hmph, geniuses are eccentric, so it's only natural for them to have a crush on a fictional character. Besides, are you really going to tell me Ms. Bellum from Powerpuff Girls isn't hot?" Said Tut defensively while looking at away while Jean just gave him a slightly disappointed look.

(Note: To those who have seen the OG PowerPuff Girls, Ms. Bellum was hot, and it's a fact.)

"Hot? You can't even see her face; how do you know she is hot?" Questioned Jean with a look of confusion while Tut just proudly smiled.

"It's the mystery of what her actual face looks like; that's why she's so alluring to me; besides, it's not always about the face; you should know that, Jean. Aren't you friends with Gwen?" Replied Tut with a longing expression as he fantasized about Ms. Bellum's face before glancing at Jean, who was blankly staring at him.

"I'm telling Gwen you called her ugly; also, what do you mean it's always about the face?" Asked Jean with a raised eyebrow, though all she got was a smirk from Tut, who placed a hand atop her bright red hair.

"In due time, my dear Jean, you're too young to learn now, but one day, you'll look back on this conversation and say: Damn, Pharaoh was really talking that shit." Said Pharaoh with a smirk before mimicking Jean's voice to the best of his ability, causing her to smack his hand away while giving an exasperated sigh.

"You're something else; you know that? Anyways, Tut, it's getting somewhat late. I still need to eat dinner, and Father hasn't yet returned with Sara." Said Jean with a slight shake of her head as she stood up, looking up at the dark sky before approaching the door.

"Yeah, I also need to eat; Mom's going to be mad at me if I wait too long." Commented Tut as he nodded and stood up with his basketball in hand while approaching the stairs, only to stop when he heard his name.

"Thanks, Tut; I don't know if it was intentional or not, but thanks." Remarked Jean with a thankful smile as she ran forward and hugged Tut before backing away.

"Heh, you're welcome. Though I wasn't wrong, you're the stupid one; if it were Gwen or Pete, they would've long since figured out I was cheering them up." Stated Tut with a smirk as he quickly ran away, just in time, too, as Jean threw a pebble at him.

"Tch always got call someone names." Muttered Jean in slight annoyance as she entered the house, though she was smiling.

Walking down the street again, I refrained from bouncing my ball as it was already kind of late, though as I looked back at the empty car in Jean's driveway, I got worried; I wasn't too concerned with Mr. Grey; he was a freaking professor, so he wasn't stupid enough to get into unnecessary trouble. Though the same couldn't be said for Sara, especially not with how she was acting, she could've pissed off the wrong person and gotten kidnapped, which is entirely possible since lately I've been seeing a suspicious black van.

"Ugh, what time is it?" Muttered Pharaoh as he looked at his watch, clicking his tongue when he saw the time.

'8:23, it's a little late; Mom usually finishes dinner around 8:40, so I should have enough time to do a quick run around the neighborhood.' Thought Pharaoh as he gripped the basketball between his arm and side before quickly sprinting.

Obviously, I couldn't run at my true full speed, so I ran at what I like to call my human speed, which is pretty much the fastest I'll ever run around in my day-to-day life; for an eleven-year-old, I'm running pretty fast, but not enough where someone would assume I'm a mutant or anything more, though I am keeping this pace constant, so if someone followed me they'd probably get suspicious after a few minutes.

'Though besides kidnappers, who the hell would follow a child running down the street?' Mused Tut with a shake of his head without so much as a bead of sweat on his face.

Thankfully, the neighborhood wasn't large, and in about five or so minutes, I did a full lap, though I didn't see Sara, nor did I see Mr. Grey's car; however, I was still more concerned about Sara. She's a stupid fifteen-year-old girl, but she shouldn't be stupid enough to leave the suburbs, right?

'Haa, let's just do another lap in case.' Thought Tut with a sigh as he ran around the neighborhood, though this time, he spotted something.

Noticing the suspicious black van parked outside a house with a for sale sign, I slowed down and approached the van, doing it quietly so as not to alert anyone; however, after a quick search, I concluded no one was present. Still, though, a black van parked outside a for-sale house on the edge of the suburbs was sketchy as fuck, and this wasn't a horror movie either.

"Eh, I'm sure they won't mind if I take a quick peek inside." Said Tut as he walked to the back of the van and grabbed the handle before prying it open slowly.

"Okay, this isn't sketchy anymore; something is definitely happening in that house." Remarked Tut with a frown as he looked inside the van, eyeing several military-grade guns, rolled-up wads of white powder, and boxes of syringes.

From the van alone, it looked like the owner was a drug dealer, and he or she wasn't just your average street drug dealer either, not with this arsenal in the van.

'I know this is America, home of freedom, beer, and guns, but you've got to be kidding me; why the fuck does this guy have a minigun?' Thought Tut as he speechlessly eyed the black minigun resting to the side.

"Alright, I know I shouldn't be investigating this, but considering Sara seemed to be doing drugs, this is the best lead I got; I just really hope she isn't here." Said Tut with a sigh as he looked at the house and slowly approached it, though not before turning around and stealing a pistol from the van just in case.

Although the house didn't look to have anyone inside when I got close, I heard faint music, and that alone was enough to confirm my suspicions; inwardly cursing, I swept around the house, and other than a cracked window on the second floor, I found nothing of note. Looking around my vicinity, making sure no one was watching me, I leaped up to the second-story window, landing on the ledge. I used one hand to keep balance while using my foot to open the window, allowing me to enter.

"Alright, I'm in; now I just need to not get caught while I search for Sara, who I hope isn't here." Muttered Pharaoh quietly as he sneakily walked around the house while checking each room, though he found nothing.

'The second floor is clear.' Thought Pharaoh as he walked downstairs to the main floor.

Looking at the front entrance, I noticed boot stains on the wood floor, and from how many I saw, there seemed to be multiple, though I couldn't accurately guess how many as boot stains overlapped each other many times.

"Well, let's just say five, better to be overprepared than underprepared." Muttered Tut as he carefully walked around the main floor while the music from before sounded clearer than before.

"Ay yo, is that Tupac? These niggas may be drug dealers, but at least they got good taste in music." Said Tut with a slight smirk as he neared the stairs to the basement, just in time to hear the sounds of footsteps.

"Ah, I'll be back; I'm putting these bags of coke in the van." Said a masculine voice as he walked up the stairs.

"Better hurry, or I'm having my way with the previous client you kidnapped." Said a masculine yet nasally voice, eliciting the first man's anger.

"Don't touch her, Coby; she's merchandise, and women sell best when left untouched; if I found out you so much as touched a strand of her red hair, I'm beating you up!" Stated the man angrily as he turned around and yelled down the stairs.

"Fine, fine, I'll leave her be." Replied the coby, causing the first man to grunt in annoyance as he arrived at the main floor.

Quickly hiding behind the kitchen counter, I clicked my tongue in annoyance since the man would find out about the van, though I didn't stop him; I wanted to just be in and out; I didn't want anyone to see me.

"Red hair? I really hope the girl they were referring to wasn't Sara." Muttered Tut with a frown as he waited for a man to pass the kitchen before quickly dashing down the stairs.

This is America!(* In Donald Glover's voice*)

Also, I forgot to say it in the second chapter yesterday, but thanks for all the happy birthday wishes; since yesterday was a Wednesday, nothing special happened, but I was expecting that, so it's all good.
