He informed her that he wouldn't be returning home that night due to a meeting with someone. He asked her to be prepared and to wait for him the following morning.

There would be a family gathering at the Rowan residence, and he planned to pick her up for the meeting. Furthermore, he advised her to tread carefully; his brother was in town, and they had yet to meet. Aiden promised to introduce her to his brother before presenting her to the rest of the family.

Katie let out a derisive sneer at his words. A meeting lasting the entire night? She understood all too well what he meant, and it wasn't the professional engagement he had described. After all, she had experienced similar "meetings" with him in his bedroom and at hotels in the past.

"Okay," she replied, and before Aiden could elaborate further, she abruptly ended the call.
