บท 116: The unknown touch

Roseline's POV

"I will be back before you know it," Vincenzo whispered, gently placing his warm palm on my cheek, caressing it and keeping his hand there as if he wanted to remember the touch for long.

'Just leave, and let me enjoy my freedom,' I desperately thought to myself.

And in a flash of a moment, he disappeared without saying 'goodbye'

"Vincenzo" I sat up on the bed to find that it was just a dream.

My heart raced in my chest, my breaths heavy with the lingering emotions from the dream.

Suddenly my hand reached out to my cheek which Vincenzo touched in the dream. It felt like someone had actually grazed it with the knuckles. It felt oddly real.

I looked around to find that there was no one.

I am sure it must be my illusion as it is the same cheek that Vincenzo touched before leaving and I am getting the same feeling every night.
