บท 70: The Manipulation

The trio finally descended, and Roy immediately excused himself. He was ready to boast about his very new feat. He couldn't wait to see the look on everyone's face when they finally took off their masks, and they realized he had in arms a princess and Maria. 

Most significantly, he couldn't wait to see the look on Vincenzo's face. If there was any indication of how it was now, he knew Vincenzo was, at the very least, suspicious. 

Ursula spotted a tray of finger food, and she hurriedly excused herself from Maria's side. She had nothing to eat all day, and now her stomach was rioting. 

Maria was finally left to herself. She scanned around, checking to see if everyone was present. Satisfied with the turnout, she slowly took off her mask. 

Another round of gasps was heard. Every head turned in her direction, and the smug smile indicated how pleased she was at the reaction.
