Magus in Marvel
Chapter 5 Part 2

I was now in the third cube, the one that housed a woman named Ororo Munroe, also known to others as Storm. "Miss Munroe, I would like you to please forgive my actions. I know you are the most reasonable of your bunch but you all did attack me."
She looked at me with guilt, "Yes, given time to reflect, I see I was indeed hasty. Please forgive me and my companions. I promise we shall never bother you again should you choose to do the same."
Conjuring a chair from thin air, I sat across from Munroe. "The thing is, even if you hold no ill intentions, I'm afraid two of your companions don't share the same sentiments."
"Please excuse Scott and Logan the—"
"Actually," I interrupted her before she could continue with her misunderstanding. "It was Summers and Xavier. Shall I explain?"
Munroe calmed, and slowly nodded her head, allowing me to clarify, "Xavier is. . . How do I say this?" I pretended to struggle with what I was about to say and even rubbed my chin for added effect.
"He is, in simple terms, a monster. He killed his sister in the womb all because he deemed her 'evil.' Not only that, but your friend Logan. That isn't even his real name."
"What do you mean?" Munroe looked at me with a raised brow, "How do you know all this?"
Twirling my hand to show off a few magical effects, I tried my best to convince her of my lie. "I'm a Magus. I deal with spells and I was able to use a spell to have Xavier reveal his darkest deeds. It may have been an invasion of privacy, but I assure you I had only done it to get to the bottom of this incident."
She seemed pacified slightly and allowed me to continue my story, "Logan's real name is James Howlett, and he is a Canadian native. He was brainwashed long ago by a government agency and they had sent him to assassinate Xavier."
"What organization?" Munroe asked me with a pensive expression.
Not wanting to give her all the answers, I decided to give her a hint. "I was not able to get much, but the words 'Weapon X' was brought up quite a bit."
"T-thank you. You may continue with your tale."
"Xavier took advantage of Howlett's mental instabilities and turned him into his own agent. Although the methods he used to bring him into your group were dastardly, I can assure you Howlett's current feelings towards your group are true. As true as they can be."
I gave it a moment before continuing and my prisoner seemed to appreciate my sentiments. "Shall I continue?"
She shook her head, "That is enough, I do not wish to know more. But. If you could please detail them somewhere so I may share it with my friends, I would greatly appreciate it."
I pondered it a moment before nodding.
After the lengthy discussion about the horrors of Charles Xavier, I moved onto the dark parts of Summer's mind. Not long after we were finished speaking I left her prison after removing her restraints.
I had thankfully convinced Munroe that at least Xavier had committed atrocities he would have to pay for and I offered to imprison him and occasionally let them visit. I had also promised to set the rest of them free, granted they did not attack me again.
I had also not so subtly told her that she should be the one to run the school Xavier had, and we would assist in the legal issues that would crop up from a missing Charles Xavier.
She begrudgingly agreed and I began the process to free my prisoners, save for Xavier. "Now, before you all leave, I would like to speak to Logan." I motioned for him to follow but all he did in response was tense up.
He looked towards his companions and saw Summer look at me with righteous indignation. Thankfully the look he got from Munroe pacified him and he moved over to where I was standing.
"Make it quick bub. I don't like your type, the manipulating kind."
I smirked, "You think too highly of me, I am simply a scholar. But this is beside the point. I wanted to inform you that I had learned many things about you. I know you have gaps in your memory and even Xavier could not help you with it."
The man looked at me with wide eyes before he once again narrowed them at me, "Spit it out, what do you know."
I took a moment to think of what I was going to say next and decided to just give him a bit of help. "Xavier was one of the many to mess with your mind. Your real name is James Howlett and you are from Canada. You are over a century in age, and you have lived a very hard life. Sadly that is all I know."
Jame's hard look softened a bit and he avoided my gaze, "I- uh. Thanks."
I simply nodded in response and followed him back to his group. "Well, if that is all, please leave." I began to open a way out but was stopped by a still fuming Summers.
"What now? I have been benevolent so far, but my patience only goes so far, young man." I stared at him and he cowered for a second before regaining what little spine he had.
"Where is Charles? I demand you let him go free as well. If you were a real man you wouldn't hide behind your sorcery!"
A nerve was stuck and I couldn't control my response. "You dare compare me to a second-rate Sorcerer? If you were a real man, and what a BIG IF that is, even then you could not even match up to my shoes, nor the ground I stand on."
As his words had riled me up, mine had done the same to him and he stepped closer to me. "Fight me then, coward! You without your magic and me without my eye blasts. We'll see who the real man is then. And once I win you will release Charles."
I roared in laughter at his audacity, "Fine, but why must I be the only one wager something? If you lose, I take your true name."
Like the simple-minded fool he was, Summers agreed thinking that my request was a silly one. Once he said the word "Deal" and began to make his way over to me, a pulse centered on us spread out and I couldn't help but smile.
A deal that the forces of the universe bore witness to was struck and I moved to meet Summers. With my enhanced strength and speed, the fight was a clinch, all I had to do was move slightly faster than he did and I struck him with formless attacks.
Using raw power alone I defeated Summers. I stood over his prone form and I felt waves of essence leave him, only to enter my form. I had won and with it Scott Summers.
True names held power, and with it, I could manipulate his every action. Back on Azum holding someone's true name was akin to slavery, but it could not be forced. I would keep this hidden though, as it was always good to hold a trump card against a foe.
It would have been better to remove the roots, but the number of problems that would have cropped up from a single death would have negatively affected my time. I had already wasted hours when I could have been experimenting or studying and I was not keen on wasting more time.
Hey everyone, sorry for the small chapter. I've still got a really sore throat, my head is no longer pounding so I think by tomorrow I'll feel better
