บท 69: Close to death

Lilian slowly lifted the glass lid and with careful actions, she cut a small leaf from the plant. This was getting better with every second as her excitement continued to flood her being. Her nerves were jittery as she handled the plant with care. It was a rare herb, just like many that were kept in here. 

She decided to only work with the plants that she herself was aware of. 

After taking that one leaf, she grabbed another with a pink flower on it. There was only one flower and Lilian opened the glass lid to see the flat five petals. A simple garden plant, but the right variety can easily poison a human. Lilian plucked the flower, along with some of the stem. The entire plant was poisonous to humans. She suddenly heard a cloth being jerked in the air and jumped. 

"Oh sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," Prudence said, as she spun the cloth in the air to remove the air outside.
