Prudence followed Vincent as they walked through the corridors. It was frustrating for her how big this place was. Her anticipation was turning into excitement and with how slow Vincent was going, Prudence was sure she would let go his hand any time before starting to run to the main door.
As they walked past, many servants who lived here, everyone bowed to their master.
It looked a little odd for Prudence. Even though they weren't bowing to her, it looked like they were doing that. She wanted to run away even more, at least to keep some distance from Vincent. He noticed her and purposefully pulled her beside him while picking up his pace. Prudence eyed the ground, which was covered with carpet. They made their way down the stairs and this was the longest Prudence had let him hold her hand. It was in her own interest to do so.
