Carlos's pov:

We returned to the mansion after dropping off Souline and Giana at the hotel. Montero was bustling in the kitchen with the maids, preparing dinner. As I glanced around, I spotted Kai's sweater draped over the edge of the couch. "Is Kai here?" AJ asked, picking up the sweatshirt. I decided to check his room.

Pushing open the door, I found his room dimly lit and in disarray. Closing the door quietly behind me, I made my way to the bar, hoping to find him there. Inside, Flynn was busy at work. "Hey, have you seen Kai around?" I asked, feeling a hint of concern. Flynn shook his head in response, and a wave of unease washed over me.
