บท 6: Chapter 6: Leaving to Alpha Denver's Pack
Cecilia's POV
I had accepted Denver's proposal to be his Luna and nothing more. Though I was aware of the growing bud of feelings in me, I knew I needed a place safe to stay, and feel at peace. Denver could offer me that in his pack.
The Eagle Eyes pack, was one of the strongest and most valued pack among the packs in the region. If I became their Luna, I would be accorded respect and would have enough guards to protect me from any harm.
Alpha Denver did not reveal to me why he needed my medical skill and knowledge of herbs, but I believed it must be because of his pack members. He needed a Luna who could treat the ill members of the Pack.
This thought made me realize just how thoughtful of an Alpha he was to his pack, and it made me blush unintentionally.
"Good. I will need you to follow me immediately back on my journey to the Pack. No delays." His voice was cold and uninterested.
It made me feel like he was disgusted, and I was sure my future held a really bad fate but I did not waver in my decision.
"First, I need to pack my belongings here." I said to him.
"No, you do not have to worry about clothing and any other thing, they would be provided for you at the pack." He stood up now, to show his haste.
"But what about my herbs? The rare ones that can only be found here?" I made an excuse.
"You do not have them any more, Henry ruined them, did he not?"
He was right. I no longer had those herbs, and if he was going to provide me clothing and the rest, then there was no reason why I should not follow him at once.
But I felt attached to the hut. The house that had been here with me for years after I was put in seclusion, away from the other members of the pack. I had grown attached.
"So? Let us move." He pressed again.
"What about Anna? Can I take her with me?"
"You will be provided a personal omega when you become my Luna." He replied.
"No. I want Anna to be my personal omega, I want her to come with us. That is my only condition for acceptance."
Anna was the only thing I could take along with me, that would help me feel the aura of this hut again wherever I went. It was a must I took her along.
Alpha Denver sighed and rubbed his palm to his forehead.
"Okay, since you are so intent on taking her, you can. But we take her, and nothing else."
"I also want to see my father. One last time before I leave the Pack."
That was my last request and it had been blurted out unintentionally.
He started at me coldly before turning away.
"I give you an hour to do that. After that, you will meet me here. Do not be late." He agreed and stormed off in hastened steps.
I relaxed into the chair with a sigh, and placed my palms over my face. I must have been nuts to have accepted his proposal, how could I leave this pack? The only place I have only ever known, where my mother had lived, where I had grown and where my father was Alpha.
I always dreamt of getting mated here to a normal pack member with no affiliations to the Pack's royal family, and then leave a happy life forever with our pups.
It was all turned round now, and the opposite was happening. Maybe it was wise to have accepted but I still felt attached to my home and it's natural herbs.
"My Lady, are you alright? Does your head ache?"
I heard Anna's voice from the hut, coming towards the yard tent and I released my head from my palms to stare at her.
My mouth could not release words, all I did was stare.
"Are you fine? What happened? How did the discussion go?" She probed when I was only keeping mute.
She sat beside me on the chair Denver had sat and placed a hand on mine.
"Speak to me, My Lady."
I sighed again and smiled at her.
"He made a proposal, that I come with him to his Pack; the Moonlight Crescent Pack. And that I become the Luna of his pack."
I could see Anna's eyes getting thinner with the spread of her lips, she was happy.
"Really? That is good news! For once you can get out and be free, not caged in someplace like a prisoner. You also get to be a Luna, how beautiful is that?" She was more than happy, she was exhilarated as she asked.
"I know right? Being free, that is really all that matters." I gave her hand a pat and a squeeze with a smile.
"Yes, I am excited that you are finally getting a life that you deserve." she added.
"I know. We are to leave today, but I need to see my father before we do. It might be long before I get to see him again." I explained to her and she nodded in agreement.
"Of course you should. I will get your things packed then."
"No, he has ordered that we leave every thing behind, new ones will come when we reach our destination. And Anna, you are coming with us, I need you there as my personal Omega."
She smiled at my words and extended her arms for a hug, which I received. We stayed in each other's arms for a while before letting go.
Anna was the sister I never got to have, and the family I never got to enjoy. She was always there through my tough moments, she would console me and offer her kind words and a hug.
There was no way I could move on from this pack to another without her. She was really all I needed to navigate my place as the Luna of a new pack, and in life as a whole.
