Richard's POV

"In my whole life, I haven't seen someone as useless as you, Richard." Jennifer's voice cut through the silence of the study, her fury palpable as she unleashed a torrent of accusations at me.

I could see her eyes blazing with anger as she berated me for having Luciana kidnapped for the second time, her words laced with disbelief and frustration.

"I can't believe you did that, Richard! The plan for revenge with Luciana was settled already and you had no reason to be involved in this mess again. What were you thinking?" Her voice echoed off the walls, raw and unfiltered, and I felt a pang of guilt twist in my stomach.

I couldn't hide the surprise in my eyes, as I wondered what it was she was refering to. I didn't know anything about Luciana being kidnapped for a second time. As a matter of fact, I was just hearing of it for the first time.
