บท 77: Clarity

Noelle is mad at me, no surprise there. She looked furious when she left with Lucy about half an hour ago. I groaned, turning in the passenger seat as I waited for Noelle and Lucifer to return. Once they get back, we can start moving. Shepherd isn't the slightest bit bothered. He seems chipper, humming a tune that lacked a good melody. 

"Dante, you need to calm the fuck down."

"How am I supposed to do that when Noelle and Lucifer are at a lake, doing god knows what?" 

"Probably fucking."

My jaw dropped to the ground. "What?!" I whisper yelled, trying to keep from waking the sleeping passengers. 

"Why are you so tense about this?" He laughs. And I try to collect myself. That's a very good question. 

"It-"

"Don't bullshit me but saying you're worried for their safety. Lucifer can take on anything that comes his way, and let's not even get into what Noelle can do."

"Right, she can fend for herself pretty well."
