บท 15: It's a date?
Inside the car, Sabrina was clutching her hands. It was obvious that she is nervous right now.
"Don't worry, your manager will be okay," Alexander said to her. And at the exact moment Sabrina's phone buzzed.
It was a text from Kenzie.
'Hey I'm okay! Currently with Mr. Grande's secretary. Did I mention that he's so cute? OMG but anyways you have a lot of explaining to do later. Hmph.'
Sabrina smiled and sighed in relief upon reading the text message from her manager. She was feeling uneasy earlier leaving Kenzie alone knowing that someone wants her dead.
During the ride Alexander suddenly asked, "If you're to go on a date, what would you like to do?"
"Huh?" asked Sabrina who was confused by his sudden question.
"If you were invited to a date, what are the things you want to do?" he repeated his question.
"Date ideas for the girl you like?" she answered his question with a question.
"Yeah," he nodded.
"Hmm let me think," she rubbed her chin while thinking deeply, then answered, "If I were to go on a date, first I want to watch a movie. I don't really have the time to go to theaters due to my work, so yeah, I think I want to watch a movie first. Then after we'll have dinner of course, you know, where he'll cut the steak for me and be all romantic," then she paused and realized,
"I'm sorry, I got too carried away," she chuckled.
"It's okay, I'd love to hear your opinion," Alexander said, "You have a very simple date ideas Sabrina," he added.
"I guess I'm a simple person then," she smiled.
When Alexander saw that, he almost crashed his car to the car that was infront of them, luckily he stepped on the breaks on time.
"Are you okay?" Sabrina asked worriedly.
"Yeah, sorry, I got distracted," he said
"Please don't kill me tonight Mr. Grande, I still have a lot of dreams to achieve," she joked then laughed but Alexander raised his brow.
"Mr. Grande?" he asked.
Oh yeah! Sabrina totally forgot that she had to call him by his first name! Although she's not used to it and is very awkward with it she still said, "Alexander! Yeah haha, I mean Alexander," then she wiped her forehead and chuckled.
Soon the car arrived at the hotel parking lot.
Sabrina who was about to remove her seatbelt was pushed back to her seat by Alexander.
He's being to close again!
"Uh.. Mr. Gra-- I mean Alexander..Y..You're being to..close," she stuttered. The man's face is so close to her, so close that she can clearly smell his perfume.
Wow he smells so good, she said to herself.
"Uh Alexander?" she repeated, but his face just moved closer to her.
Not knowing what to do, she turned her face sideways avoiding Alexander. She sighed in relief when he pulled back,
'The hell was I thinking?' he asked himself silently.
Sabrina who was still in a daze in her seat didn't know how to react to what happened, she just sat there holding her seatbelt tightly.
"Sorry I was bored," she heard Alexander say.
"Ah, okay haha!" she said then laughed.
What weird person! Who even does that when they're bored? She asked herself.
Alexander and Sabrina went straight to the security office to review the other footage. On their way to the office Alexander suddenly asked, "Did you offend any other people?"
"Aside from my CEO I don't think there's anyone else. Why do you ask?" she said.
"Nothing," he answered.
The two then arrived at the office and the people inside immediately prepared the videos for viewing. Both Alexander and Sabrina watched the footage hoping to catch a glimpse of the person's face but they weren't lucky. The man's face was covered all throughout the video.
"How unlucky! How are we suppose to catch him? Even if we submit this to the police, it's no use!" Sabrina blurted out of frustration. The was clearly skilled in hiding his face from the cameras.
"Don't worry he'll be caught," he comforted Sabrina.
"I really hope so,"
Sabrina thanked the people from the office then left with Alexander and went straight to the parking lot.
"I'm hungry let's grab dinner," Alexander said, "Okay," Sabrina answered as she was also hungry.
"Where do you want to eat?" asked Alexander when they both entered the car.
"Anywhere's fine," she answered while buckling her seatbelt.
Alexander started the engine and drove away. He decided to take her to his favorite steak place which was 30 mins away from the hotel, but they got there pretty fast, all thanks to his sports car.
"This is my favorite restaurant, the food here is good, I'm sure you'll like it," Alexander said when he parked. Sabrina just nodded as a response.
Both of them entered the restaurant. Sabrina was impressed by how the place looked. The design of the place didn't have anything fancy like chandeliers and big curtains. The room was filled with different portraits and landscape paintings. The walls were painted with antique brown color which gave a retro feeling. Although the interior design was simple, it still gave the feeling of elegance.
"Good evening, welcome to Casa Henrico, table for how many?"
"Table for two please," Alexander answered.
"This way Sir," the man led them to the second floor.
Sabrina gasped in amazement when they reached the second floor. The place had glass walls which let people have a clear view of the sea that was behind the restaurant.
It was really beautiful.
Alexander and Sabrina was seated near the wall. Sabrina who really loved the sea was mesmerized by the view she was currently seeing right now.
The skies were clear and the moon shined so brightly which reflected on the sea water.
"This place is so beautiful," Sabrina said not breaking her gaze from the sea.
"Do like the sea?" asked Alexander.
"Yeah, my parents and I use to go on beaches when I was a kid, but it's been years now since I last went because of my job. I had no time," she answered.
"Sir here's our menu," a man said and handed them a booklet.
"What do you like Sabrina?" Alexander asked.
"I'll have what you'll have, you're the expert here," she answered. It was her first time here, of course she wanted to taste the best!
"Two plates of Flank Steak with Chimichurri, medium rare and two glasses of Sangiovese," Alex ordered.
"Is that all Sir?"
"Yes," he answered and the man excused himself immediately.
