A submarine would normally be submerged in such a battle, out of sight and out of contact with her fleet. A hidden submarine was a safe submarine. Not Virginia. She was the only ship who could find Chimaera in this mess, drawing on Resolute's senses. Due to their vital roles, she and Zumwalt were at the back of the fleet. The destroyer looked relieved unlike the submarine. Zumwalt had not been looking forward to fighting her sister and was beyond grateful to learn she didn't have to. Still, her role was similar to Virginia's. While Virginia would relay Resolute's intel to the battleships, Zumwalt would use her abilities to counter anything either Moonser or Chimaera tried.
