Mason Jad quickly followed Charlotte Cooper into the bar.

Upon pushing open the door, the deafening music filled the space, with the kaleidoscope of lights spinning around and a mix of smoke and alcohol pervading the air.

Charlotte frowned, not usually one to enjoy such an environment, but at this moment she needed a boisterous place to sort out her emotions.

She walked to the bar counter and found a seat.

The bartender, noticing a beautiful woman walking in, asked, "What can I get you, miss?"

"Long Island Iced Tea."

Charlotte replied indifferently. Her downcast eyes hid her true emotions as she stared at the hardwood bar counter.

The bartender began to mix the various liquor as requested.

The men and women in the surrounding, swaying with the beat of the pulsating music, let loose of their rampant hormones.

The piercing screams were painful to the ears.
