Speed walking to meet up with my fourth class of the day, I made another turn in order to find my locker. Unfortunately I still didn't know where it was by heart and Karla wasn't around to guide me.
After risking taking another turn, I finally found it.
'Didn't I pass it about a minute ago?' I dumped all my bag's contents into it, which wasn't much. I only had five minutes until class started and I couldn't be late to Mr Smith's class. I didn't want to be on his bad side.
"Damn it!" A few books dropped onto the ground dramatically, so i squatted to pick them up. But as I did so, I realised that someone was in front of me.
"Excuse me girly, you're in my way." I looked up to see a blonde tall girl with a grimace .
"Sorry, I didn't see you there." I picked up my books and placed them in the locker.
"Of course, those awful bags under your eyes must be removed. They're preventing you from seeing clearly." I glanced towards the girl who I immediately concluded was Felicia's fraternal twin sister.
"Do you need something?" I asked rather sweetly. The girl's crooked smirk turned upside down.
"I should be the one asking you that. Since you literally blocked my path." She uttered with a flick of her lusciously long hair.
I motioned to my right, showing her the whole lot of space she could have passed. Although they were tons of students going up and about. Why do I feel like she's purposefully looking for trouble?
"There's a whole lot of space. You can always squeeze yourself between them. You're super skinny, it won't be a problem for you."
'Did I just sass someone about their body? Oh no what am I becoming?!'
I could literally see her eyes turn red in anger. Her cheeks flared up a bit but I acted like I couldn't acknowledge her anger.
"You little…" I prepared myself for whatever tantrum she was going to throw.
"Stephanie!" I heard someone call. Then I saw a girl stand next to Felicia's sister. So her name is Stephanie?
"You better watch out, new girl. I can be your worst nightmare."
"Do I know you? No, so bye." I shut my locker and strutted off. I could hear the other girl trying to calm the girl named Stephanie down. Then I heard something, although it was faint because of the increasing distance, but I knew what I heard.
"She is going to pay!"
'Good job on gaining an enemy on the second day Emily.'

Last period of the day and I somehow wounded up on the field, with the cheerleaders. It was all of the girls doing. Especially Karla's.
"Just for you to know, the captain can be a real bitch. But you shouldn't let her get to you, ok. And plus, me and Kat also have a say In if the newbies get in or not. So you have a good back up."
I shook my head in distaste. "How bad can she be?" She couldn't be as bad as Felicia, right?
"She's a real bitch from hell. Here she comes." Karla whispered the last part out. Lo and behold, it was Stephanie. Some luck.
"Please tell me she isn't the captain."
"She is, why?" Kat and Tasha joined in on our conversation.
"She's the girl I told you about during lunch. The one who was practically digging for trouble."
"Stephanie! Why didn't you say so?" Kat exclaimed. She was busy munching on a pack of chips.
"Because I didn't know who she was." I was definitely not joining now. She swore to make my life hell! And being on her team, no way.
"She might be a first class bitch, but she ain't dumb. Emily, you're trying out and you're going to win." Said Tasha.
"I don't think you got what I said." I cleared my throat, thinking maybe they didn't perhaps hear me well.
"We heard you loud and clear. But you're not going to let her get to you. It's obvious that she doesn't like you. But you shouldn't give a fuck about that." Karla replied.
'When it comes with my life, then I should give two fucks about it.'
"Another term, another try-outs. Let's see if any of you sorry excuse of a cheerleader stands a chance to join us." Stephanie announced with a confident pose.
"You'll do great." Karla whispered into my ear and went over to the table to take a seat with Kat.
There were five judges. Felicia's 'fraternal sister,' Karla, Kat and two girls I couldn't recognize. A girl with two ponytails came out to begin her routine.
"Hi, I'm…"
"Next." Said Stephanie. The girl's eyes widened in shock.
"But I haven't…."
"You can be a cheerleader…but not in this school. Next!" Kat and Karla tried to argue with her but she just shushed them. The girl ran out of the field, tears streaming down her face.
'She is worse than Felicia. Oh Lord help me.'

So here I was, standing in the middle of the field, at least I think it's the middle, waiting for the witch's decision.
'Yes, my new nickname for her is witch.'
When she saw that I was also trying out, her face literally turned into stone. I was surprised that she even let me try-out.
"Hm, not bad. Not bad at all." I could feel her evil gaze on me. But I didn't flinch a bit.
"Let's vote." Out of the fifteen people who have tried out, only three have been accepted.
When she decides to give the person a chance, she leaves it all to the voting system. But when she totally hates the person for some unknown reason, she either doesn't allow the person to try-out or after the person finishes, she just says; 'Not this year' So her saying that a vote should be casted for me was beyond shocking.
"Alright, it's been decided. Welcome to the squad Emma." She had a smile on her face but I could see the distaste lurking behind her eyes. I am seriously making a huge mistake.
"It's Emily, And thank you, Stella." I gave her a sweet smile and walked away. I could feel her staring daggers at me.
"That's the end of try-outs, see you losers next year." Karla got up, heading towards me.
"Can someone tell me how that happened?" I asked. Kat pulled me into a big bear hug.
"I knew you'd wow us."
"The other two girls said yes, so it was unanimous. Even though the captain clearly said no." Said Karla. Then I saw the witch approaching us.
"Welcome to the team Emma. Hope you'll be able to cope." Stephanie said as she approached us.
"Thank you, but I think I'll fit in very well." She glanced at each of us.
"No wonder you two voted yes, you're all friends. So sweet."
"Yes, but she's in because of her talent. Even your friends were able to see that." Kat said while referring to the other judges. Stephanie closed her eyes for a brief second, as if trying to compault herself.
"I don't care. Ta ta Ella." She then freed us of her annoying voice.
"School's over, let's go celebrate." Karla announced. I nodded.
'Yeah, let's celebrate my end.'
