Glancing quickly to see what was happening with the others, Valentina was happy to see that they were all already beginning to take action. While they did continue to pepper the vampire with minor spells in attempts to toss it around, everyone had already turned their main focus to adapting to the battle.
Though her wooden armour prevented sight of her tattoos, it looked like Dahlia was going to use her Enticing Emerald Forest as her illusory defences dwindled and her nature based attacks nearly tripled in size and quantity. Already her domain was beginning to form, and Valentina could understand the reasoning why. Her other attributes might have been weaker in that form, but it gave her a huge amount of firepower, agility, and versatility. Not only that though, but as the girl began to release her domain its secondary effect would likely become particularly powerful.
I think this chapter didn't quite have the focus that I initially wanted, but that was more just because of how the word count worked out. Half this chapter was originally going to go in the last chapter, but then it would have been way too long! Because of that, the first half of this ended up being action while the second half was more exposition. I hope it was okay though and that you look forward to the continued action in the next chapter! Idon't know if it will bring the conclusion yet because it isn't written yet, but that's the plan.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed and feel free to give any feedback you might have on the story, writing, or even just stuff like magic systems and whatnot. I'm always happy to talk about it :3
And as always, I hope you're having a wonderful day!
