Chapter 593: god almighty: Is It You, The Fool?

It's time to seriously consider my own matters. How exactly should I enter the Forsaken Land of the Gods and guide the residents of Silver City out of it?

The biggest challenge lies in traversing the Giant King's Court. The abyss there is unfathomable, hiding terrifying and mysterious entities.

I absolutely cannot risk my own life; at most, I can only send a puppet. This means the problem will have to be solved by Bernadette.

After some thought, Klein left his room. The dim sky made the sea appear particularly turbulent, with flocks of seabirds skimming low over the water, too afraid to soar high.

The phenomenon caused by the fall of the Eternal Blazing Sun could easily affect everything in the sea, even from such a distance.

Klein stood outside for a while before a crew member came to find him, saying Bernadette had something important to discuss with him.

He nodded and followed the crew member to Bernadette's captain's cabin, where she was intently studying a nautical chart.

"In a couple of days, we'll be passing through the area that used to be the Sea of Ruins," Bernadette said, pointing to a section on the map. "Although the Sea of Ruins is now shattered and no longer as terrifying as before, the battles between deities have introduced new dangers to that place."

Klein listened quietly as Bernadette detailed her thorough investigation, listing all the potential dangers they might encounter.

"But the most dangerous place is still here, the former site of the Giant King's Court," Bernadette said, her gaze growing solemn.

"Is there really no way to avoid the Giant King's Court?" Klein asked.

"I don't know," Bernadette replied heavily. "That place has become a forbidden zone, and no one knows what it's like now."

Klein feigned a relaxed tone, "Maybe we can pray for divine protection."

"Oh? Which deity do you believe in?" Bernadette asked with interest. "Surely not the Lord of Storms?"

"I believe in the Goddess of the Night," Klein said, making a gesture of twinkling stars on his chest.

"The Goddess of the Night?" Bernadette's expression turned into a half-smile. "Do you think your deity will bless you?"

"I believe so."

To safely pass through the Giant King's Court, Klein could only send a puppet, thus requiring external help. The deities he could rely on were the Goddess of the Night and the Stars.

Bernadette was a follower of the Stars, and in critical moments, she would undoubtedly pray to them for help. Klein, on the other hand, would seek assistance from the Goddess of the Night.

If the combined efforts of the Stars and the Goddess of the Night couldn't get them through the Giant King's Court, then the fate of Silver City would indeed be unfortunate.

The ship soon reached the Sea of Ruins. The area was filled with remnants of divine battles and chaotic forces, staining the sea in various colors.

Black desire, golden heat, gray coldness... even from a distance, one could feel the suffocating aura.

"It's nearly impossible to enter normally. Ordinary ships can't withstand the forces here," Bernadette said as she stepped out of the captain's cabin and ordered the crew to stop advancing. She then led Klein to the bow, gazing at the impassable Sea of Ruins before summoning her Nautilus.

"Let's go. This last journey is just for the two of us."

"What is this?" Klein asked, feigning surprise. "I've never seen a ship like this."

"It's called the Nautilus. Unlike ordinary ships, it can dive into the depths of the sea," Bernadette explained.

Listening to her explanation, Klein couldn't help but marvel internally at Roselle's ingenuity.

As Bernadette and Klein entered the Nautilus and dived into the depths, the ship that brought them there began its return journey.

In the deep sea, where it was silent and dark, the influence of divine battles was weaker. Under Bernadette's control, the Nautilus faced some turbulence but successfully passed through the Sea of Ruins, reaching the coastal area of the Forsaken Land of the Gods.

Throughout the journey, Klein felt an itch to try piloting the submarine himself.

Upon exiting the Nautilus, Bernadette and Klein arrived at the Forsaken Land of the Gods, greeted by a piercing cold wind that seemed to originate from the deepest part of the abyss.

The source of the cold wind was the former site of the Giant King's Court.

The once grand and ancient Giant King's Court had been leveled, leaving behind an unfathomable abyss.

"This is the most challenging part of our journey," Bernadette said gravely.

Even though she was now a Sequence 2 Angel, she dared not gaze into the depths of the abyss, for there lurked a terrifying entity capable of shattering her soul.

Klein, who had sent only a puppet, still felt a deep-seated fear emanating from his soul.

A faint voice kept warning him not to proceed, not to approach, and certainly not to gaze into the abyss.

Suddenly, a sound like the surging sea emanated from the abyss. Klein's puppet, under Bernadette's slightly astonished gaze, cracked and turned to dust.

Bernadette sensed no approaching force, indicating that Klein had chosen to end his puppet's life voluntarily.

Above the gray fog, the real Klein gasped for breath. A chilling cold climbed his spine, making him shiver and curl up.

At the moment the abyss stirred, an immense terror enveloped him, prompting him to decisively end his puppet's life and sever the connection.

He was convinced that even a moment's hesitation would have allowed the terrifying entity in the abyss to reach the door of the Starry Sky Palace.

Deeply shaken, Klein ceased any attempts to observe the Forsaken Land of the Gods. The gray fog around him thickened, blocking any view from the outside.

What kind of terrifying entity resided in that abyss?

Klein had once glimpsed the True Creator and the Eternal Blazing Sun, but the presence in the abyss was far more terrifying.

It was an ancient existence surpassing Sequence 0!

In the Forsaken Land of the Gods, Bernadette remained vigilant, her nerves taut, as she watched a blurry figure silently appear where Klein's puppet had turned to ash.

The ancient and mysterious aura made resistance seem futile, a feeling she had only experienced with the Stars.

"Did I sense wrongly?" The blurry figure looked up at the sky, searching before retracting its gaze.

It extended a finger to the spot where Klein's puppet had died, causing the surrounding space-time to distort and reorganize, recreating the puppet exactly as it had been.

The figure scrutinized the puppet, dismantling it piece by piece for analysis.

"Did I really sense wrongly?" it murmured, before waving a hand and turning the reassembled puppet back into dust.

Only then did it turn its attention to Bernadette.

"A follower of the Stars?"

"Yes," Bernadette replied with difficulty. "I follow the Stars' oracle to the Forsaken Land of the Gods to help the residents of Silver City see the light again."

"You are honest and smart. It would be a shame to kill you," the figure said, seemingly with a hint of regret.

"How should I address you?" Bernadette asked humbly.

"Primordial Creator, Omniscient and Omnipotent One, Lord of the Astral World. You may also call me god almighty," the figure replied nonchalantly.

god almighty?!

Bernadette's pupils contracted, and infinite fear welled up inside her.

"You once carried an interesting item," god almighty said, glancing at Bernadette before reaching into the void. The Wishing Lamp, which Bernadette had left in the palace on the Rhosid Archipelago, was pulled into god almighty's hand.

"A trick of The Fool," god almighty said with a gentle smile. "Is this what caused my senses to err?"

"Sigh..."

With a sigh, the genie manifested from the Wishing Lamp.

Before Bernadette set out for the Forsaken Land of the Gods, the genie had advised her not to bring the Wishing Lamp if she wanted to pass through safely.

Unexpectedly, she ended up in the Forsaken Land of the Gods, falling into god almighty's hands without any surprise.
