So even though they were already mine, I was a little controlling of them. I was afraid that one day they would find someone better and leave me. Such dark fantasies had nothing to do with the girls' behavior, it was my own issue.

Now imagine thinking that way and suddenly hearing that your girls thought the opposite. To them, they were the lucky ones, while you were the catch. The absurdity of it all became comical, and their actions suddenly became extremely adorable. 

They were afraid I would run off with someone better because they didn't deserve me. Which is exactly how I felt. In my opinion, they were being extremely silly because the chances of me running off with another woman were nil.
