Fage was extremely fearful at this moment. As soon as he arrived in this region aboard the Aurora, he felt it—a presence, watching him with a detached gaze. When the mech he piloted activated a certain special state, this sensation grew even stronger.
Because he sensed this unknown presence, it seemed to come to his side, observing him, scrutinizing his every move; he felt as though every secret of his body was being laid bare by this unseen and unfelt being, leaving him with a sense of powerlessness in his heart.
But aside from this inexplicable premonition in his heart, his eyes, as well as the optical detectors, thermal sensors, and many other observation equipments installed in the mech, detected no signs of any life forms around him—his surroundings were desolate.
This led Fage to wonder whether there might be something wrong with his mental state. Was he experiencing some sort of psychological issue due to excessive tension? Such cases were not unheard of.
