บท 4: 4. Granny coughs violently
So she looked towards Damien and feigned "Granny, I see a young handsome man that I adore and love unconditionally and from just a look at his eyes I can tell he loves me". Then she turned to Granny. "Granny, Damien is truly a sweetheart". "Yes dear, he is your sweetheart and so are you his sweetheart, but I am his number one sweetheart", she said heartily. Julie smiled to her warmly. Then Granny said to her "Dear, do not allow anything break the love you and my grandson share and if it ever get complicated,stay strong and follow your heart, always...".
Granny hadn't finish talking, when all of a sudden she started coughing violently. "Granny!!!", she shouted trying to pat her but it still persisted.
Other members came to help Granny. Julie rushed to get water from a waiter.
Damien who had Nora in his hands, seeing what was going on, brought Nora down and rushed to his Granny. He had gotten a hold of her when Julie came with a glass of water . Julie managed to calm her down and gave her water to drink. She finally stopped coughing.
After, she had drank the water. Damien drew her close to his arms. He kissed her forehead and said "Granny are you okay, now?". Granny who still looked frail, said to him "I'm not dead yet, young man". She pulled herself away and said "There's no need for a fuss, I'm okay".
Aunt Maggie and two other women came to Granny and were making advances to hold her, but the old lady said to them "You came too late, I'm okay now, so there's no need.".
Aunt Maggie whispered to her ears, "Granny, if you want them to think you are alright, please, let's take you to your room". Granny wasn't intending to go but she knew if she didn't everyone of them would be worried, so she said, "I hate to say this but here I go, I'm going to my room, now". She held Aunt Maggie who then walked her up the stairs accompanied with a few other members.
Julie watched them walk up the stairs for a while, then she turned to see Damien. He looked grieved.
She was about walking to him when Diane came from nowhere and placed her hand on his shoulder saying to him, "Hey Damien, you don't have to feel bad. You heard your granny, she isn't dead and neither is she going to die. You know what makes her happy is seeing that you are happy. So you just have to make her happy by being happy yourself dear"
