What is lust, man?
The answer to it is the desire that gods has provided to every male and female creature to propagate.
So, why is this desire regarded as the most repulsive aspect of male behavior toward the female species?

Well, given that they had seen and heard that this act must not be permitted before getting married and that other males are not worthy of touching a woman's esteem, the subconscious of the female body already had the answer to it written in it.

One brief term?

If they want their desired partner to treat them well, they cannot expect to receive sexual favors from third parties.

What happens, though, if the proactive party and the desired party are the same person? In that case, they are both the only people on earth. Holding back your desire in front of that person is a simple act of stupidity.
