Later that afternoon Anlan went to pick Yaoyao from school and brought her home
"Mummy you look sad what's wrong?"Yao yao asked as they walked into the apartment
"It's nothing I'm just exhausted"Anlan replied and smiled faintly
"No it's more than you being exhausted you look pale and sad"Yao yao.snapped back
"Okay how I do I explain this to you"Anlan said and carried her up placing her on the chair
"I'm exhausted from work and school their both making me so tired"Anlan smiled patting Yao yao's hair gently
"Then why don't you just quit the job already"Yao yao said pouting her lips
"I wish I could but it's very important"Anlan smiled and walked away to the kitchen
"Mum I'm hungry"Yao yao yelled and fell on the couch
"You would have to wait for Han Jing to return or I could make noodles"Anlan said walking out
"Don't stress yourself I'll wait for Didi to return"Yao yao said smiling
"Pathetic"Anlan said and rolled her eyes
"Okay then we will all wait"Anlan said and switched on the TV sitting close to Yao yao
"Yay TV"Yao yao exclaimed and hugged Anlan's hands just then there was a knock on the door
"I'll get it"Yao yao said and went to the door
"Didi you've finally arrived thank goodness"Yao yao said
"You've never been happy to see me return what's wrong?"Han Jing asked walking
"There's no food at home we've been waiting for you"Anlan replied still watching TV
"You all are bunch of kids"Han jing said jokingly
"But we've got a mum"Anlan said and grinned
"Fool"Han Jing said and hit Anlan
Later that evening Anlan went to work and she was also happy that the month was coming to an end and she was going to get her first pay she just couldn't wait
"Welcome darling how is Anlan?"Mei Xia asked
"She's great you didn't ask how I was doing"Anlan said and pouted her lips childishly
"You're acting like a child"Mei Xia said and chuckled
"Well I am a child"Anlan said
"Of course you are"Mei Xia said
"Well let me get to work"Anlan dropped her bag and left
After Anlan was done serving the customers she returned to Mei Xia and sighed
"I feel dizzy"Anlan said
"Always have a complain"Mei Xia giggled
"There is something I want to ask"Anlan said after remembering something
"What's that?"Mei Xia asked
"It's something that I was told at school today"Anlan said calmly
"Okay I'm listening"Mei Xia said and looked up
"Is true that people who work here are courtesans"Anlan asked with a serious look but Mei Xia fell silent and looked away
"Why aren't you answering me?"Anlan asked
"See I don't know who told all of that and how they got to know such an information but it's true"Mei Xia said faintly
"What so it's true did you know about this before you started working here?"Anlan asked surprised
"Yes I did but I didn't want you to find out yet"Mei Xia said
"And you work here knowing all this"Anlan asked
"You're not in the position to judge me"Mei Xia said angrily
"Mei Xia you aren't supposed to work in places like this while will you live such a life"Anlan asked shocked
"Okay that is enough you might be my friend but you tell me how to live my life I chose this path"Mei Xia snapped back angrily
"But it doesn't suit you..I don't see such a slut kind of life fitting you"Anlan said
"Anlan that's enough okay? you can now return to work... leave"Mei Xia yelled
"I was just trying to be"Anlan was saying but got interrupted by MeiXia
"Leave now I don't need your help"Mei Xia said and walked out
