บท 50: 'Partners'

"What?!?" Lacey's eyes widened in utter horror. 

The ease she experienced when flowing her soul force into Ervin's soul was suddenly replaced with an overwhelming suppression that completely locked her entire being! Her soul force completely froze. 

Her higher Mana realm meant nothing. No matter how much more powerful she was than Ervin, it was impossible to overcome the special source of Mana deep within the Demon Orb. 

At that moment, Ervin did recall Cyan telling him that this Demon Orb came from a terrifying genius who managed to surpass the Nirvana Mage realm and was this unfathomable Holy Mage existence. 

It would only make sense whatever special power a Holy Mage has can easily overpower something from a mere Advanced Mage genius. 

Ervin felt completely enlightened during this process. His soul force moved instinctually along with the Demon Orb's natural momentum.
