This reaction greatly shows the difference between ordinary people, and in this case, Espers, and similar powerful individuals.
The woman finally lifted her head as he heard Rise, and the hint of excitement within the silver-haired man.
Suddenly, her demeanor seemed to change and became distant. She scratched her cheek awkwardly and forced out an answer.
"Uh, yeah. The gate can trigger the surrounding monsters because of its chaotic energy." The woman spoke, but she sounded unconfident, or more accurately, to say it was a textbook answer.
Rise put the dishes in front of them, he also did not expect too much from a civilian. He scooped some of the soup and immediately tried to taste it.
In an instant, his eyes lit up slightly and he looked up at the cook. His lips naturally hooked into a smile and he gave a thumbs up. When it came to food, especially to dishes that he actually found delicious, Rise was not stingy to praise.
As I create Rise, I really want this feeling of contradiction but at the same time, one would feel that it made sense. You know what I mean?
Like, some would say, oh he's crazy. And yet, for some sides, he seems nice but in a crazy type of way still HAHAHA
Rise's upbringing actually greatly differs from my two other BL novels (or novels) since, his past and childhood are really not a good one compared for example to my other MC (Arren) who did not lack any love growing up.
Just I love to explore it more while writing him hahaha. Again, thank you for reading as always. Oh, I might resume the two chapters by Monday or tomorrow? But I'll make sure to return that consistent updates!
