บท 11: Chapter 9: Leave Me Alone

The same day, Xian sent Sophie home, safe and sound. She never thought that she will experience it with a rich and well-known man in the city.

"Good night, Sophie." He told her, rubbing his nape. It's been a while since the last time he said those words with a girl.

Sophie lowered down her head, shyly and giggles. "Amm. Take care, Xian! Thanks for today. I am really glad and I have fun!" Xian smiled secretly.

"No problem. I'll get going, Sophie." Xian told her in a serious tone. She smiled widely and wave her hand.

Xian chuckles suddenly, "Why are you laughing?" Sophie asked, confused, and distracted. "You are not waving at me, perhaps you see something else here." Sophie pouted and play with her fingers abruptly.

"You're so mean." She told him but Xian tapped her hair, "Goodbye, Sophie."

"Take care!" Sophie said.

Sophie clasped her hands and put it closer to her chest. "Why am I feeling this way?" She closed her eyes, listening to the sound of her heartbeat. It has a magical rhythm that soothe her body, mind, and soul.

"Sophie!" Lhou Xin said, making Sophie startled.

"Mother!"

Sophie turned her head, nervous and worried. "Where have you been? It's already late for a woman to go home at this hour."

"Xian told me that you asked a favor, and he asked you if it's okay to send me home. I am really sorry, Mother." Lhou Xin gasped because there's no way to deny it.

"Yes. You're right but I didn't told him to bring you somewhere. For pete's sake, you are a woman and Xian is a man. Do you get what I'm trying to say, huh? Sophie"

Sophie shook her and replied, "We're not doing anything, Mom! Xian brought me into a place where I can relax and to loosen up. Sorry for not telling you about it."

Lhou Xin looked away although she was mad. Sophie slowly walked towards the living room and put her things down.

"Good evening, Father!" Sophie greeted Anton cheerfully. She's ready to tell her parents that she passed the audition, if she tells it them, there's a possibility that they will watch her during the contest.

Sophie sighed deeply, she earns a lot of courage before speaking up. "Mother, father, I am proud and delighted to announce that I passed the audition. Not just that, if I will bring the home the bacon I will be the representative of our school and I will be competing both nationally and internationally. This is my chance to reach my fantasy!"

Lhou Xin and Anton looked at each other and burst into a sarcastic laugh. "Stop it, Sophie! We already accepted the fact that our daughter is a blind poor girl." Lhou Xin told her.

Sophie went to her room quietly. Her parents didn't appreciate her achievement, her hardships. She threw herself into the bed and cried the whole night.

Just like in a movie, Xian walked between Sophie and Yhen. He hugged Sophie, not realizing that Yhen is watching them, with her mouth wide opened.

Zuzi forgot to pause the video because of what she saw. They can believe that Xian, a well-known individual save and hug a poor and hopeless blind girl, Sophie.

"Sophie. Are you alright?" He cupped her face and Xian narrowed his eyes at her. "What did you do to her?" He asked in a calm and serious tone.

Yhen was afraid and trembling, even her friends. She never knew that Xian became an aggressive and hostile beast when he's angry and disappointed.

"Xian. Please, stop this! Stop showing that you care, stop saving me from Yhen. From all this pain, please stop." Sophie burst into tears, it wasn't fake. Tears flow down to her cheeks and started to hit Xian.

Sophie can't deny the fact that she's glad, knowing that Xian saves her for the second time around. She never dreams and thinks to hurt anyone but Yhen gave her no choice. She was forced to fight, she was compelled to do something bad and terrible that against her will.

"Stay away from her, Xian! She doesn't deserve you, she doesn't want you!" Yhen holds his arms but Xian stared at her, angrily. "Get off your hands on me, Yhen. This time, I will not let you go without being punished. For heaven's sake, bullying is a crime and if Sophie told you into the Police, you and your friends will be in jail."

"I can't believe that you trust that woman than me, Xian! She's nothing but a blind girl who's trying to steal you, from me!" Xian laughs sarcastically and stared at her tediously.

Xian squirmed and said, How can I trust someone like you? You are cruel, Yhen. You better know your place starting today if you want to be here at this school!" He put an emphasis on every word he says. Yhen will never learn to stop hurting her fellow students if no one will take immediate action with regards to that matter.

Yhen steps back out of fear, she can't accept that Sophie will win this time.

"Leave me alone! All of you, get out from here!" To avoid some trouble, Sophie told them to leave for good.

"I will not leave you here, Sophie! Your face was red and you got scratch marked, you need to be treated and either you like it or not, you will come with me." Sophie stumbled upon hearing it if only she can see her posture, herself. She looks so messed up and her hair was frizzy.

"If you don't leave, then I will leave. From the moment I met you, my life became miserable. Everyone sees me like I was pathetic and pitiful!" Sophie told him, still sobbing and whining.

Xian looked at her in disbelief, Sophie was different the day they went to the sea and now, she's acting like she doesn't need someone's help. "Sophie." Xian grips her hands tightly.

"Let me go!"

Sophie cried so hard like there is no one in the room. Like, they existed in a place where no one doesn't know about. "You need to be treated, Sophie." He told her calmly but Sophie runs away from them, crying in vain.

"Sophie!" He tried to stop her, but Yhen hugs Xian from the back. "Don't go after her, Xian! Please, I'm begging you. Let her do whatever she wants and you heard Sophie."

Xian stared at struggling Sophie, she holds everything she can to stay distant with Yhen and with him.
