Raucous laughter rang throughout the crowded restaurant as our extended family celebrated our victory. My newborn son’s boisterous shrieks were a joyful counterpoint, wrapped in his doting aunts’ arms sitting nearby. Gazing around the room at those I held most dear, warmth kindled in my chest, chasing away darker memories. Here, there was only life.

Shortly after the Final Battle—as it is now called—Seven took Siren as his Mate, and they married in a ceremony in the Shadowcrest Warriors Pack shortly after, surrounded by both of our Packs.

Once it came out that Seven and Lycia were the children of an Alpha, Seven had no more resistance from his Pack. It took a while, but now his Pack accepted him as their rightful Alpha.
