"Finally!" Allesio exclaimed behind me.

Amidst the confusion, another arrow was shot into a tree stem and everyone looked in the direction it came from only to see a man sitting on a horse with an arrow in his hand.

Knights being knights took immediate action and started running towards the attacker, even the Prince joined in the chase but Allesio turned my horse around and ran in the opposite direction.

"What are you doing?" I yelled at him.

"Keeping you safe," he responded and rode even faster and farther into the forest.

"Allesio, I don't need saving, I made a promise to the king," I tried to explain but he wasn't listening, and when I noticed, and used my elbow to hit his stomach and he winced in pain and stopped the horse.

"Why did you do that, Sage?" He yelled at me for the first time since I had known him.

"Because you were not listening!" I yelled back.
