บท 45: Chapter 43: Arrival of SMBs from Manila City
Outside the portal, back in Baranggay Patag.
A jet suddenly appeared from the skies and then landed on the ground. Then a man exited the jet along with six more people.
They were all emanating a frightening aura. Their eyes were glowing black as if they were a group of demons that came from hell to wreak havoc amongst the living.
"Sorry. We were just notified earlier so we came here at top speed all the way from Manila City" The man in front said.
This man's name was Rey Coleson. A famous A rank from the guild of World Protection. A guild which was placed 3rd in the overall Guild's ranking of the whole country.
This man was 6'2 in height and has white skin, long black hair and was clad in a black suit. He was also an A rank SMB. His power was known to be the power to harness the wind and It's power. If he wished it to be a blade, then so It shall be a blade. If he wished it to be a tornado, then so it shall be a tornado.
"No no. It's okay it's okay." Hugo said as he laughed. He stretched out his right hand and said, "I'm Hugo, the representative of the four guilds here"
Rey inspected him and then nodded. Hugo felt shivers run down his spine as he felt that a monster was staring down at him. Making him feel like it was very uncomfortable.
Hugo retracted his hand and then smiled. Not minding Rey's rudeness.
Then suddenly, a figure descended from the skies from a parachute accompanying him were five more people.
"You're still very rude Rey!" The figure shouted out as he unlocked himself from the parachute and then fell 10 meters from the sky. The five other people all followed suit as they too, unlocked themselves and fell from the sky.
The SMBs from Irosin couldn't help but sigh in admiration from what they had just saw. Who wouldn't be astounded when they saw a number of people falling ten feet high from the sky and then landing with no broken bones? Even as D ranks, they were completely unable to duplicate such a feat.
The figure was a woman. She was the A ranker called Haruka Tora she was the most famous woman in the country that isn't an S ranker. She was a tall woman. About 5'8 in height and her hair color was dyed to pink. Her skin was peach in color and she was very beautiful. Her beauty could stun the heavens and topple cities. She was wearing a skin-fitted black dress that made it impossible for people to take their eyes off of her. On her waist, was a very sharp katana.
She was from the fourth ranked guild in the overall guild rankings in the Philiplines which was called,
"Holy Maiden Guild"
This was a guild that was mainly composed by powerful women that share one distinctive trait. They were all gorgeous!
Haruka Tora was what they called a 'Peerless Beauty'
Moreover, this woman was famous for her dangerous swordsmanship. With just the drawing of her blade could cause numerous low ranked SMBs to die. The power of her swordsmanship was very tremendous. With each slice, tens of monsters would be killed by her and each time she swings her sword, sakura petals will fall. Making her swordplay extremely dangerous but extremely enchanting.
Rey snorted and said,
"You're as noisy as ever Tora"
Tora smiled and said, "You're just cranky"
Hugo looked at the twos bickering and then smiled.
"Should I explain the situation to you now?" Karl said respectfully.
"No" The two leaders' shook their heads.
Hugo was confused.
"We were already informed on our way here" Tora said.
Then she signalled her teammates and then one of her teammates called Celestine gave her a device.
"Is this...?" Hugo said with a shocked expression.
"Right. This is the device that was just created and broadcasted all over the news. With this device, we will be able to sense if how many people are inside the portal and if they are dead or alive. They will be represented as a dot and that dot will grow green if they are alive but red if they are dead." Tora explained.
"Right now, It seems the SMB that entered is still alive" She said as she pointed towards the
Karl was enlightened.
"Then should we...?" Hugo said.
"No rush. Let's see first if he really can clear this dungeon by himself" said Tora.
Rey didn't speak but he was ultimately agreeing with Tora. An SMB that claimed to he able to clear a Dungeon by himself was something else! If not arrogance, ignorance, overestimation of one's self then it should be sheer stupidity!
Rey snorted as he looked at the device and them at the portal. Even he himself couldn't claim that he could clear a dungeon by himself. Let alone a D rank SMB?
Even if he had 'summoned creatures' what could they do? Based on the report, they were just comparable to D rank SMBs and a few being comparable to C ranks. And they even only numbered in the 50s! What could more than fifty D rank monsters contribute to an A rank dungeon?
A few minutes passed and then suddenly, a man that was riding a motorcycle appeared. He took off his helmet and then suddenly, his beautiful and gorgeous hair blew about as his face shined because of the sun.
"Hey what did I miss?" Leo said.
Leo, 23 years old, an A rank SMB and the leader of the Team B of the guild called,
"Star Force" Apparently, the guild leader of the Star Force guild was a man that was a huge fan of the movie series called Star Force.
He was an S rank SMB. Everytime he was in an interview, he would always say:
"May the force be with you"

He was hella weird but hella powerful.
Leo, although only the leader of Team B of the Star Force guild, was extremely famous due to his always late arrival in battles. He is famous for his tardiness and his eccentric personality. His ability was unknown but rumors say that although late in arriving, when he does, the battle will soon come to an end.
"You're late again" Tora said with a smile.
Tora and Leo were good friends since they go way back to when they were just kids.
'Wow the famous Leo AKA Mr. Police has appeared. Three of the most famous SMBs in the whole country are here!' Karl and the rest of the SMBs present thought to themselves.
"Yeah, I was in Sorsogon City when I was informed of the appearance of this dungeon. My team is still in manila so they might arrive later than me" Leo said awkwardly.
"So why are we still here and not entering?" Leo asked.
"We're waiting for a fool to die" Rey said with a wicked smile.
Hugo's eyebrows twitched but he said nothing.
"Oh? Fill me in on the details" Leo said.
"You" Tora said.
"Explain it to him"
"Ah? Yes-yes..." Hugo said.
"Well, as you were informed, an A rank portal appeared once more in this little town of ours."
"Then, all of a sudden, a B rank boss type orc appeared along with tens of other C rank Orcs."
"Fortunately, the situation was quickly reported and secured as there were SMBs present"
"The SMBs worked together to secure the safety of the citizens. But alas, that B rank orc was very powerful."
"Reports say that it ate a woman when it just appeared and it stood guard over the portal"
"A few more moments into the future, a man clad in a black robe and wearing a plague doctor masked appeared"
"He was holding two tomahawks in each hand."
"All of a sudden, the ground started to rumble as the dead started to rise" Hugo said with a grim expression.
"Oh? What date is it today? Is it february 21?" Leo said.
Tora glared at him so Leo shut his mouth.
"First, there were eight bhears. The ones that could be found in E and D rank dungeons."
"They were all glowing purple and even their eyes were purple."
"So they were summoned creatures?" Leo said intrigued.
"I don't know. But it gets even weirder. Reports say that soon, the dead Orc corpses started to stand up and they were all glowing purple just like those eight bhears."
"What?!" Leo said. Shocked.
"Yes. And it gets even weirder than that!"
"That D rank's eyes were colored orange and he took down that B rank orc!"
"What??! How!" Leo said.
Even the nearby Rey and Tora couldn't help but feel surprised once more. They have heard the reports but they still were shocked by it. They couldn't believe it.
How could a D rank defeat a B rank!?
It was impossible!
"Then that man said that unless it was an A rank SMB, they were to not enter because any SMB ranked lower than that would only be a hindrance to him" Hugo said.
"So that's why..." Leo said with a laugh as he looked over towards Rey.
"Hey Rey, wanna bet?" Leo said.
"A bet?" Rey answered.
"Yes, I'm betting that he will be able to clear this dungeon and make it out alive"
Rey laughed out loud as if it was the funniest thing that he has ever heard in his entire life.
"HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
"Okay then I'll play this little game of yours. Thanks for the gift in advance!" Rey said with a smug face.
"Oh but I'm afraid that you'll renege once you're defeated in this bet of ours" Leo said with a dazzling smile.
"Ha! Me? Lose? Fine fine fine." Rey said.
"You" he pointed at Hugo.
"Yes?"
"Record this on your phone" Rey ordered.
"Ah ye-yes !" Hugo said. He opened up his camera and then hit record.
"This is the evidence that I and Leo of the Star Force guild are betting on whether or not that foolishly arrogant SMB will clear this dungeon" Rey said as he looked at the camera.
"What are the stakes?" He asked.
"10 million kilograms of Crystal Stones" Leo said without any hesitation.
Rey was speechless but he instantly felt delighted.
'You fool! 10 million kilograms!? Even for us A rank SMBs, that's worth a year of our salary!' Rey thought to himself as he snickered.
He could almost imagine himself swimming in Crystal Stones.
"Do you dare???!!" Leo said provokingly.
"Do I dare? Of course I dare! But 10 million kilograms is a bit too low of a price don't you think? Surely your pocket can handle more? Let's say... Thirty million kilograms?" Rey said confidently.
"Thirty million kilograms!?" The spectators exclaimed in shock. Even 10 million kilograms was something that was impossible to achieve even if they spent centuries fighting monsters! And now these people were just betting it like this?
Leo fell silent for a moment.
'If I lose this bet... then my salary for the next three years will go down the drain.' He thought to himself as he was now hesitating.
"What?? You don't dare???!" Rey said provokingly.
Leo gritted his teeth, 'f*ck it!'
"Why won't I dare?!" He said.
"Damn! They're really going to bet 30 million kilograms of Crystal Stone" the crowd was dumbfounded.
Tora was speechless at the shenanigans of these dorks while Hugo was close to fainting.
