"Your majesty." Everyone looked at him with a horrified face. "Bringing the duke back means that you are accepting the rumors. Even in the royal family, it had never happened before that one is claimed to kill his own brother." the man announced exasperated but Lucas only gave him a lazy grin,

"Why? Even if it was never proven, I am sure brothers kill each other for power more often than you would ever realize." He had seen millions of souls in hell suffering from the sin of killing their blood. 

He had always been fascinated by their greed and hunger for power. But now.. It felt mundane. He could not understand their love for the shiny coins. But that did not mean he could not use it.

"It is alright. The commoners hate me anyway and you… you do not like me either." they sucked in a deep breath and their faces went ashen by the announcement.

After being tongue tied for a second by the sudden revelation, they all spoke at once.
