The smile on his face vanished when he noticed her presence. The stoic look amused Diana. She placed the papers back in the file.

"Thank you for your help. I will sort out the rest." Ana blinked when her mother pushed Garry toward the sofa.

Since when have they been so comfortable? This bastard! Was he trying to use her mother too?

She eyed him coldly but did not say a word.

"Oh, these are not fruit scones. Have you tried a new flavor, honey?" Honey? Such a sweet name for a bitter woman like her!

Garry coughed and picked up a scone. He was surprised to see a pineapple cream scone. 

"Yes, Lia took all the fruit cones to father. I have recently tried this flavor." Ridden by guilt, she stole a glance at his face.
