The way back to the arena was quiet. Though Eliseline knew that she would probably be spending a lot of time with Lihar, she wasn't in a hurry to make conversation yet.
She still didn't know what Savine's plan was with the boy, but so far, the clues pointed to a death of some kind. It felt pointless to her to get to know someone who's going to die soon.
A part of her felt guilty at that thought, but at this point, her guilt was reaching a point of too much. Like with a man thousands of coins in debt, it was all starting to feel less and less real.
They reached the arena, and the place was still empty. It was usually that way. The etiquette for nobles was to come at least 30 minutes early, unless you were literally the most important person that was supposed to come.
