บท 64: Holy Temple Evacuation

[ Location: District H Holy Temple ]

[ Holy Temple Main Hall ]

*Woman singing with a beautiful voice*

As the woman is singing there, a holy temple priestess suddenly comes in to inform her about the sudden news.

" Battle Maiden, I bring news!!! "shouts the priestess who interrupts the Battle Maiden's prayer in the Aula.

" What is it, dear Rika? " Battle Maiden asks which Rika explains the whole thing, as she relays upon her to news she received from the Inquisitors.

" I see, so it seems the Tower of Darkness has returned to bring terror to earth once more. " the Battle Maiden says as she then moves from her prayer position for she then picks her blade and prepares her armor.

" My lady, .... " priestess Rika says in her fears.

" What is it, dear? ... I sense ... fear .... in you... "

" Are you afraid of this news? " Battle Maiden says as Priestess Rika says that she is currently worried about the Battle Maiden's safety as she reminds her of what happened back then after the Battle Maiden Raided the previous Abyss Tower.

" Do not worry my friend, I will not be easily harmed and defeated even with my eyes closed. " the Battle Maiden says while touching her closed eyes, for his eyes are covered with special bandages.

" I will go there, Rika.... make sure all the priestesses, healers, and the patients are safely evacuated to that place. " Battle Maiden orders her.

"Understood!!! " Priestess Rika says as she storms out of the hall and informs the other people in the Holy Temple as she then informs and announces to them all about the news.

During her announcement, Rory Kent, Ragna's grandmother who is currently stationed as a Healer there had also heard about the news and immediately then prepares to pack her belongings and help the others to move the patients who still need Divine Rehabilitation from the Dark things that affect them, mostly the Hunter patient who was afflicted with the Demonic Monsters' Dark Energy.

As she does her things, she briefly tries to look for her phone to try contacting Ragna as she tries to warn him about this but sadly her phone signal is jammed for reasons unknown she then yells at the phone, hoping to inform her grandson at home about this.

" C'mon, c'mon.... please....Ragna!!! " Rory shouts as she was worried which became doubled as she hears from the other people there that the news had come before them that the Inquisitors, the Priest had collaborated with the Hunter Association to Raid the new Abyss Tower on District T of Trinia.

From that news, the reporters stated that the Hunter Association will assign any available Hunters from all Districts of Trinia to join on this Raid for the Association promise that anyone who survives will be given an honor by instantly increasing their Hunter Ranks and Profits, including with more rewards from the Inquisitors and the Holy Priests with the gods as the one who will give them anything they want in return for their participation.

Seeing that news, grandma Rory was like, " No no no no Ragna please answer my call and please by the Cre.... gods to not ever join this Raid, I beg of you!!! " Rory prays for Ragna as she was worried that the Hunter Association might include her grandson in this Event.

" Ragna please answer grandma's call... " Rory says as she almost shed tears in her eye.

During her worries, she suddenly bumped into someone while looking for a signal from her phone and she was shocked that she just bumped into the Battle Maiden who was on her way out.

When she sees her, she then apologizes before Battle Maiden asks her to speak about her concerns.

" Pardon me...?" Rory asks.

" Your eyes, Healer Rory .. Kent, was it? " Battle Maiden says grandma Rory's name somehow with her blindfolded eyes (how can she see by the way?).

" Is filled with tears of ... worry ... "

" You did not cry for your own condition but ... "

" You cried because you are worried about the condition of someone you cared about, is it not? "

" Someone close to you and related to you in any way... " Battle Maiden says grandma Rory says that she is worried about Ragna's condition as she also briefly introduces Ragna to her.

" Ragna huh....., an unorthodox name.... which I must have heard somewhere... "

" Yes Battle Maiden, my grandson Ragna is an E rank Hunter just recently and I'm afraid the Hunter Association will exploit him to join the Raid that could .... " Rory begins to cry more for she knows Ragna's power even though it seems she doesn't know Ragna has been constantly developing his powers, but still her grandmother instinct constantly prays for Ragna to not even think to join such event.

Hearing her frustration, the Battle Maiden then calms her for she promises that if Ragna would join the Raid, she would make him one of the people she will look for in the Tower's Raid for she somehow felt that she should accept grandma Rory's request somehow.

" Don't worry Mrs. Kent, I will take a good look over your grandson, heed my words. " Battle Maiden swears in the name of her god.

As she leaves, Rory begins to pray to the Creator for she is grateful that a powerful priestess existed in this country like Battle Maiden to look over Ragna, even though she and Ragna might be not important people for her to even took responsibility to protect.

( Outside the Temple. )

" Who will be joining this raid, priestess Luna? " Battle Maiden asks.

" From the Hunter Association, they say that they will assign every low-rank and high-rank Hunter available including the A-Ranks. " priestess Luna explains.

" A-Ranks? where are the S-Rank Hunters? " Battle Maiden asks for she is confused why the Hunter Association only gives the A Ranks as the top Hunters to be assigned in this job.

" I don't know my lady but it seems the S-Rank Hunters are being reported to be out of the country these recent weeks. " priestess Luna adds.

"( Those S-Ranks!!! are they always so ignorant!!!? )" Battle Maiden thinks to herself for she was disappointed on how the S-Rank hunters simply forget their own country and just go out to other countries to do their business or things whatsoever which she sees as materialistic and too mundane for them to do.

" If what you say is true Luna... "

" Then I had no choice but to step in during their absence. " Battle Maiden says for she herself is a powerful Gift User since her Gift Core is Tier V and also...

Based on the statistics, even though she is not a Hunter, the Battle Maiden's Gift Power and battle prowess make her on par with some of the Trinia country's S Ranks Hunters.
