The demons continued to attack, using their spells to conjure balls of fire and bolts of lightning. But the degu users were prepared. One user used their ability to manipulate water, creating a wall of water that doused the flames and absorbed the electricity.

As the two sides clashed, it became clear that the degu users had the upper hand. One by one, the lower demons fell to their attacks. A demon attempted to use a spell to create an explosion, but a quick-thinking degu user used their ability to create a small earthquake, disrupting the demon's concentration and causing the spell to fizzle out harmlessly.
