After more cursing at the blisters on my hands and Guying's drunken laughter, I pulled the gemstone out and let it lie down on the ground.
"I think I can make something good out of this," I said, gesturing at the cooling stone. "An artifact core, perhaps. Maybe even a Golden Core."
Guying looked skeptical.
"Do you even know what it is?"
"I have some ideas."
The arch—the gate—clearly led somewhere. The entire formation had to be a grand Space technique.
After the gemstone cooled down enough to hold it in bare hands, I studied it more closely. To my dismay, the ambient Qi of the mountain was preventing this, obstructing my vision.
I tsked in annoyance and put it in my belt bag.
"I will need to return to my sect for more detailed research. Anyway, perhaps it was time to take a break from my adventures. Guying, want to come with me?"
"Me?" Guying stared at me like I grew a second head. "What kind of question is this?"
