บท 116: The Plate

Rayzel halted from whatever she was doing upon hearing his question, and she bit her lower lip out of her nervousness. Scott noticed that Rayzel was sweating and couldn't look him straight in the eyes.

And so, he raised an eyebrow while he looked at her sharply and he bent over to wear his shoes as he waited for her answer.

"I…I am your a-assistant remember?" She stammered as she tried so hard to put a smile on her face to at least cover up her lies.

She knew Scott isn't stupid enough to believe her just like that and so she added something to her words, "I asked someone to send me your schedule for today. As I remembered you telling me that my work as an assistant will start today in your office, have you forgotten?"

However, Scott did not believe her even when she said all those alibi as he still looked at her with suspicious eyes, "Who is that 'someone' who gave you my schedule?" He asked and looked her straight in the eyes.
