บท 50: Ch 50 : Nami's worries

Hearing Seth's words, tears began to well up in Nami's eyes.
She had tried to hold it, but in the end, she just decided to let it go. For some reason, when she was in front of Seth, she felt she could show her weak side, and Seth would still accept it.
And as for Seth, when he saw Nami began to cry, he didn't panic at all.
He knew that after all this time, Nami had finally put her trust in him.
He just stood there, staying by Nami's side until she finished venting all her tears.

Almost an hour later. Nami had finished telling her story to Seth.

Next to Seth, Nami was looking very tired. In the last hour where she told Seth her life story, Nami felt like most of her energy had been drained.
She had been telling Seth all the suffering she had felt so far, even some that were not said by the anime.
And to be honest, the one that was in the anime could be said as toned down a lot than what he had just heard right now.
Nami was emotionally abused by Arlong and his cronies, and it made her very fragile inside.
The moment she depended on someone, it could be said that she had practically handed over her life to that someone. In case that certain someone betrayed her, it wasn't certain whether Nami's spirit could handle it. She might look strong from the inside, but actually, she was hiding her very pain.
In the anime, she was pretty lucky that she found Luffy. Luffy, even though like that, was still one of the best Nakama to have around.
And now, Seth had taken Luffy's role.

[ 3. Fuck her. Reward: One of the twenty-one great swords.]
The choice has reappeared. This time it was with a reward that was pretty weird.
If Seth were being honest, the second or third option's reward tempted him a lot more than the first. Yet, he was not the slave of the system.
The choice was just an extra, and he would still do what he wanted to do. Without even wasting any time, Seth quickly chose the first option.

Once Seth finished cursing and venting some of his anger toward Arlong, he returned to Nami's side and pat her head.
" Don't worry. Your pain, your worries. I will take everything from you. From now on, all your pain will also be mine."
" Umm, I know."

The following day.
The ship finally reached the island. Seth actually proposed that they would just go directly to Arlong Park and proceeded to end this misery once and for all, but Nami had refused.
It was not that she didn't believe in Seth's strength. She had seen what Seth could do. Adding that to the fact that Seth was a sichibukai, Nami perfectly knew that Seth could easily obliterate Arlong. It's just that she wanted to make sure everything was going perfectly, and there was no chance of Seth slipping and getting killed by Arlong. After that event, for some reason, Nami's heart began to yearn for Seth, and now she regarded Seth's safety to be even more important than hers.
Nami would usually stop her ship next to Arlong's park, but since today she brought Seth with her, she stopped it in a hidden spot next to the beach.
She walked to a huge bag that was full of money and gold. She put it in her bag then she walked to the edge of the ship and landed on the beach like an agile cat.
As for Seth, he didn't follow the path that Nami took. There was a chance that they would meet Arlong's pirate along the way, and Seth wasn't sure whether he would be able to hold himself.
Therefore, he just drew a giant eagle and began riding it to Cocoyasi town.
Nami started walking. After this would be finally the day that she would set her village free, it was a lie if she said she was not excited. Yet, she must keep her calm and not make Arlong's group suspicious.. Crossing some hill, then some rice farm that was full of small lakes, then some village which was a bit empty since everyone is working to gain to pay money for Arlong.
Nami finally reached her destination. She stood in front of a huge gate. Behind the gates, one can see the enormous red mansion that was built in the Japanese style.
Arlong Park.. the place that was the very source of her misery.
In front of the gates, Nami was seen by a few fishmen. Their figures were tall that they made Nami look like a dwarf. Yet, when they saw Nami was coming, there was no trace of worries at all. Only mocking and laughter.
"Nami, you are back!"
"I see that you get something pretty big this time, huh?"
"Well, it seems it wouldn't be long until you are able to gather the promised 100 million belis."
And along with that words, the fishmen were greeted by the waves of laughter of the nearby fishmen.
