บท 319: Reunion (1)

Aila closed the door behind her. The one side lamp in the room that wasn't broken shone in the dimly lit room, revealing the mess that Damon had left their bedroom in. It wasn't a bedroom but more of a sight full of broken things. Aila's heart pinched, and her eyes stung at seeing how bad it was for her mate. 

Her eyes roamed over the broken coffee table, lamps, tv, ripped sofas and curtains until her sight landed on her mate. Damon was placed on the bed, a blanket over him. Aila wanted to crawl under the covers with him, but like the mess in her room, she too was a mess with blood over her clothes. Clothes that Cassius brought her. 

Aila kissed Damon's forehead and jaw and forced herself to move away from his scent. She stepped over the shattered objects, wondering why nobody had come in to tidy up. Or it was possible Damon was in such a rage and foul mood following it that nobody could enter the room. It didn't matter; she was back where she was meant to be now.
