บท 231: Chapter 231 : Accident
[Alright, take 6969]
Merlin shouted with a deadpan voice, almost eyes half closed as he yawned while reading a Manga, which Orion got for him, especially imported from the US as right now Britain doesn't have those yet. Some may ask why the US? well, becuase there they have the translated version.
Strange as both Merlin and Orion learn Japanese to compare different types of magic originated from different states and places. But still prefer reading the translated comics.
"Do you have to say that? At least be a little quiet or skip these particular numbers." Orion's eyes twitch as a throbbing vein is clearly visible on his forehead. He was currently standing in the middle of a large empty room, eyes closed and his muscular body was drained in his sweat.
It wasn't becuase he did something tenacious, it wasn't becuase of heat for sure. This was because he was practising magic for hours at this point.
He took a deep breath, trying to stabilise his erratic breathing and calm down before giving another try to the magic.
Slowly raising his hand, his magic started to move. An invisible magical wave started to make ripples in the air just before the very room itself started to deform.
With his hand up, he stakes them down and immediately the floor itself ripples like he threw a stone into the water.
He again raised his hands and slowly the roof with complicated patterns in it started to deform before almost collapsing and reforging itself.
Merlin sitting and reading manga looked at this from his side eyes, there was a glint in them which he hid well.
Orion kept this up, trying to fold the entire room like a paper, much similar to what Doctor Strange was able to do to New York in the mirror world.
It's just that he was trying to do that in the real world. This was the Law of Matter.
"Hufff huffff....." Suddenly with a jerk, Orion put his hands down as the room returned to its normal self.
"Damn, only this much in the last 3 years," Orion muttered with clear irritation on his face. He has learned under Merlin in the time chamber for the last 3 years originally though it was just a few months outside.
But still, he wasn't able to manipulate the matter of the world around him like he wanted to. The resistance he was feeling was too much.
"Strange you say that with Irritation. Anyone else with enough knowledge of Law would be surprised that you can do even this much in an entire lifetime after mastering another major law of all things." Merlin said with a calm tone.
Orion didn't reply to anything. There was nothing to say. He knew that he was progressing faster than anyone could have been able to. He himself is not sure why. Power does make sense in his case as he can just absorb it from others but being able to learn this so fast just wasn't normal.
And yet, this was not enough. He knew that he couldn't even hold a candle against death who had Eons to get stronger.
Sighing he just gave up on going down on this line of thoughts. There was no point, he had been there before and he couldn't find any better way to close the gap besides keep on getting stronger and leaving everything to fate.
"Okay, we are done here for the time being. How long is left before school starts again ?" Orion completely out of the real-time flow outside the time chamber asked.
[A week, maybe a little more.] Merlin replied after pondering a little.
"I see, and how much longer I can use the time Chamber."
[We are almost out, maybe one more day inside here at best.] Merlin said.
'Sigh.'
" Fine, guess I will just rest for a week before joining Hogwarts for one last time. But before that, it is time that I level up." Orion said as both he and Merlin looked at a few objects left on the table.
All this time, Orion wasn't just practising the Law of Matter but also getting used to his own magic. That was a big problem for him according to Merlin. Not knowing his own power was more dangerous than not having it, or at least that is what Merlin had to say.
So while he didn't grow that much in power in these last 3 years, he now had really good control over his magic and the extent of what he could do. So at least nothing similar like that Bogart will happen again.
[Yeah, you should get that done while you have time. It might put you in sleep for some time after that.] Merlin nodded.
"Great," Orion replied and snapped his finger, and in an instant, 6 objects flew in the air and were placed around him. Making a circle while him being in the middle.
Then he placed his palm on the floor and a magical circle was formed. He quickly sat in the middle of it.
[One minute...] Merlin said but didn't complete his sentence.
"Huh?." Orion asked while raising his eyebrow in confusion.
He was about to absorb all the dementors he captured last year and all the other Hocruxes to level up.
He stayed in level 4 for long enough, it was time to go to level 5 grandmaster.
[Hmm nothing. Go ahead.] Merlin shook his head and said. He felt that something was wrong. Though his own magical senses are not as good enough as they used to be he is sure that Orion uses Space law to form that magical circle.
Should he even do something like that? Not like he knows as there are less than 3 or 4 people who have ever mastered the law of Space. So even Merlin didn't know that making magical circles which are not intended to be used for that particular magic like Space is even the right thing to do.
Especially with the Law of Space.
Orion left the old man alone as he just wanted to be done and get something to eat and then sleep.
Before Merlin could even decide whether he should let the boy use the circle made out of Law. Orion started absorbing the magical power.
6 dark aura started to devour inside in body as the circle worked just like Orion intended as it didn't let magic leak.
Merlin seeing that everything was fine, just shrugged.
Well, that was only until Orion's eyes opened.
"What the hell, the magical power is not coming to...."
Before he even says that circle light up with brilliant light.
[AH, why I am always right. It was sometimes irritating] Merlin cursed as he saw the blue magical circle beneath Orion holding himself, not letting him move while not only devouring the magic which should have come to Orion.
Then suddenly a bright blue light appeared which completely illuminated the room...
"Mother Fucke...." Orion wanted to say but before that, he was gone....
