Their hearts jumped from their chests hearing the door creak open. Beth hurried to hide Mikael behind her, while his real hair was out in the open as his wig was in the bedroom.

'Oh, no!' they thought inwardly in unison with a shared panic etched on their faces.

They were caught off guard, and being too complacent was their mistake. They should have done the fitting in the bedroom, not in the guest area.

"Uh, um!" Beth tried to come up with something as an excuse to keep the person from coming in. She blurted out, "The Marchioness is changing right now!"

However, she was a second late as the door swung open, revealing the unexpected guest who barged inside the master room: Nicolaus.

He was unfazed by Beth's excuse as if it did not matter to him whether Mikael was changing or not. Ignoring the attempt to stop him, he just casually stepped into the room.
