บท 5: Chapter 05: Nighttime
Izuku said goodbye to Mei before leaving to go to his house. It's now pitch black outside, the remnants of the sun's rays had a long ago now disappeared, absorbed by the darkness. They stayed for almost two hours at the beach, Izuku practicing with the gauntlet while Mei was looking for interesting pieces for her new and future projects, also picking things for him to test out his skills on later. She will put him on reparation tasks so he will learn, hopefully, better and faster how technology and mechanic work.
After that, they brought all that back at Hatsume house, in their workshop. He then left with a book on how to repair small appliance devices and a bag full of pieces of anything he will need to repair the toaster and the blender Mei found and thought will be good training to test on. It will also become a gift for his mother's birthday being on July 4th.
Izuku looks at his appartement when he is near off and see no light coming out from the windows. His mother should has got to bed already, him coming in late becoming a habit for the last days. He just told his mother he had met a girl and will start studying with her from now on and she didn't stop asking questions about her "Is she cute? Which school is she from?! OH MY!! Is she even still in school??? How old is she? What's her name? Studies what? Does she lives far?" Anyway, just a lot of easy questions. He told her everything possible and said he will take her home one of their days off so he can present them.
He walked to the door, unlocked it without a sound and trying not to wake up the neighbors, risked himself by pushing open the door fast enough so it wouldn't creak that much. He hop in, closed the door in the same way he opened it, took off his shoes and makes his way to his bedroom to let his stuff there so he can prepare to go in bed afterwards. Getting to the kitchen to pour himself a cup of water, he saw his mother sleeping on the couch, not looking comfortable, but still in deep sleep. He took a spare blanket and got closer to put it on her. So looked better these days. Maybe telling her he made a new friend was a good thing. Him being quirkless has always been a sensitive subject for him and her. He knows that it stresses her because there will always be people not being nice to him because of it. Luckily, Hatsume is not like that he thought smiling. He close the TV and got to his room to sleep.
• NEXT MORNING •
Izuku wakes up a little later than normal because of all that training yesterday, he decided to reduce his morning training today, doing just the base, then going for a quit run around his district. When he came back, his mother was almost finish with preparing the breakfast. He gave her a quick kiss on the cheek before going take a shower and getting ready. Getting out from the bathroom, he thought about putting the book from yesterday in his bag so he could read it on his free time at school.
"Izuku? You should come now before it gets cold" Inko told while putting the plate on the table.
"I'm coming! Thanks for the food." He told her while sitting facing her.
"Soooo, how was it yesterday? I must have felt asleep because I only remember waking up on the couch with a cover on. I was waiting for you." She said smiling while taking her coffee and taking some sips.
"I know, I'm sorry about coming in so late, but Mei created a fabulous gauntlet and made me test it so I become able to use it has my own arm and that we can improve it do eliminate the disadvantages of it." He responded, clearly enjoying thinking back of what happened the evening before.
" I'm happy to see you smiling like that again Izu" she told with a sweet smile. "So, when will I get the chance to meet that fabulous person? Soon enough I hope." Inko looked her son in the eyes until his gaze fled from her to the table and his cheeks turned a little red.
Still looking out of his mother gaze, he responded, "I don't think she will mind coming to dinner tomorrow if I ask her."

Elzory22 Hi, everyone (? Is there even someone reading my thing, hope so) I know I started with almost the same text from the manga, but everything from on, will differ, so I hope you will support me with writing my own fanfic. There might be some small episodes but I will always try to do decent one and maybe minimum twice a week. I just want to say too, I speak French firsthand but learned English growing up and it becomes easier from day to days. Hope you won’t mind my mistakes or weird sentences.
