บท 58: 058 Killing Ghost Descends

Whoosh!

Suddenly, the gnawing and tearing sounds came to a halt.

Hissing...

Something was being dragged through the grass in their place.

Thud thud thud...

A series of muffled footsteps grew closer, the friction from the grass sending a continuous rustling sound from far to near. The next second, a black shadow bolted out of the grass at a breakneck pace, its figure resembling a mad, charging bull.

In the faint, distant lamplight, one could barely make out the figure's appearance. Humanoid, about one meter eighty, dressed in black clothes, its slightly deformed arms wrapped in layers of white bandages. The bandages were mottled with bloodstains, and disheveled, feather-like things protruded from their gaps. Strange, terrifying, it emitted a horror of being akin to, but not quite, human.

Bai Xiao's gaze suddenly sharpened, his body tensing. For he saw a pair of eyes reflecting a weird green light, almost like those of a wolf.
