บท 65: Untapped

March went on as usual. The new couple eventually separated after a few days of entanglement while Creed Animations was on track.

Sullivan also consolidated the companies together and it eased their way from being a logistical nightmare.

Alexander didn't care much for finance as the relative simplicity of the company's structure is clear to him.

Home Alone videotapes have lost their steam while most video stores await for the cult-ish Run Lola Run.

The Nicole Kidman sex fantasy break-ups would not gain traction if they did not gain a following after all.

Overall, March was a convoluted mess for the theaters with many minor releases and the movie academy pleasers are dominating the box office.

Rain Man which had been overshadowed by Home Alone was still going strong. Kevin practically absorbed all the moviegoer's money during the holiday season, and for the award season Cruise and Hoffman take the stage.

It Follows has enough momentum and for the entire month, experts believe that it may successfully garner 17.4 million from the domestic market for the March schedule.

The creepy sex monster 'it' had enough topicality to lure the exam-busy teenagers during their afterschool.

Teen girls were still rebellious but they were more or less fearful of having intercourse with just anybody.

It also helped that Alexander proposed for the propaganda people that the 'sex curse' be talked about as a somewhat real myth in the papers.

Articles about teens dying after having a night of tryst with a stranger were booming and the clever writers who want to pull audiences practically cited incidents from previous publications.

Sex Curse Demon 'It' became the best educational material by parents about teenage sex while Stephen King's Pennywise was still enjoying being a best seller.

The propaganda was ingenious and Sullivan was smiling in his sleep as he imagined his grandson's untapped potential.

The ticket sales were booming and the theater lines and other film companies knew that Creed Pictures is no joke.

Like all the previous Creed films before it, it also wouldn't delay with the overseas release. The distribution department has already been used to leveraging and managing the global theater market altogether.

The strategy, however, was from amazing than the simultaneous global screenings that megablockbusters of the future would use.

At least, they were starting with the imperfect version of it this early.

-------

Alexander was now cutting his school time as he is monitoring the entire animation workshop.

The Creed duo had to use some means and dealings to make it happen. He only had to turn in some relevant projects and attend or make up some major tests and pop quizzes.

Physical Education and some group activities were non-negotiable but the boy was incredibly enthusiastic with fitness for the PE teacher to worry while he was too popular that group activities were a cinch.

His jealous classmates were cursing his star privileges but his consistently high grades made them aggrieved.

Alexander himself was a good student in his time, so re-doing his time is just a matter of effort.

The re-life bought about a lot of new changes in himself, which he is quite proud of. A lot of them would take a lot of getting used to, such as: Being an exercise enthusiast that is diligent in being fit and healthy. His charming face was already great while his blooming muscles were becoming a plus.

Being an ideas man for a movie and pointing out the mistakes and innovations for literal film professionals such as the ADs and the recent screenwriting team.

Being a half-producer who oversees the pre- and post- version of the film production cycle.

Being a boyfriend to an actress. He had some go-on actress wannabes but not truly proven ones.

Being somewhat of a company owner. The Creed group of companies is a family company and despite the employees thinking that Sullivan is at the helm of things, the young Alexander is already set to being the heir.

------

In all of the new things, perhaps being a boss was something he is weirded out about.

Throughout his school-minimized time, being at the Burbank building is the prime priority.

The second floor has been installed with an Epson projector and the big wall that centered the two mega workshops was the perfect place to display images.

His early fiddling with "PowerPoint" presentations came into use and his methodic seminar with appropriate visuals awed his listeners.

All of the animation group employees had listened in and the innovative tools in the software they would be using have awed them further.

They numbered amongst 200 people. Most of that numbers are quota'd up by skilled animation artists while the rest are specialists in their own field of animation.

These people joined in knowing that Kevin McAllister was going to be their boss. All they knew was that he was good at designing traps, they didn't know that he was a geek in animation.

His forward thinking and the convenient tools in his possession let them see the future of their profession.

All the while he was flipping powerpoints, they were also fiddling with the computers.

When he explained the intricacies of the eraser option, they made use of those intricacies.

The special pens they used to draw images with can easily transform into an eraser. The much more convenient use of the computer mouse was also in their arsenal.

When Alexander expounded on the use of the undo option, they felt like the wonderous eraser option was topped.

Undo was for the major mistakes while the eraser option was for the targeted erasing.

These people quickly came to know the convenience and inconvenience of computer drawing.

They had a great learning curve to overcome. Fortunately, they had a much more open mind and great drive to take on the task.

It also helped that the package animation crew that Sullivan found had some dealings with computers and animations. With their lead, the pure traditionalist of pen and paper quickly familiarized themselves with digital inking.

Overall, the seminars were a success and the true animation production commenced.

Sullivan and most of his film production company constituents also joined most of the week-long seminar.

The postproduction and special effects specialists were much more intrigued by the 3D option of the software.

Remaking 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit?' also became possible with the prized Creed Digital Ink.

Sullivan was already grinning at Alexander's potential getting more and more prevalent.

Another absurdity to add to the list!

This is just going to be plain horrendous, silly, and more disgusting than my main trashy work.

You've been warned!
