Chloe Collins froze, her thumb unconsciously pressed the hang-up button.

She put down her phone and picked up a porcelain doll on the bedside table to play with, a hint of confusion in her eyes.

How did he know she was going to sleep?

What was even stranger was that after talking with him on the phone, her chest was filled with a kind of subtle feeling, full and indescribable, like...floating on a cloud.
