Silence reigned over between the people in the drawing room. Dante just finished narrating how he had found out the truth of Annalise and her child. Now, his eyes focused on the silver-haired woman, observing her blank face closely for anything that could tell him of what she felt at the moment.

After what seemed like forever, Isla finally parted lips to utter her thoughts. ''You still haven't said anything about your behavior during our marriage.''

What isla needed was not how he found out of Annalise's deceit or his feelings after she ran away from the hayes duchy with Damien as a newborn baby. She needed to know why he behaved like heartless person during their marriage.

Even if the novel's plot was mostly the reason of his behavior, there must be something else that justified everything.
