บท 100: Dante and the Empress (2)

'That address…' Dante's gaze went past the empress. There was only one person who could call her imperial majesty 'Mother empress' and that was the six-year-old crown prince of the Asterian empire.

Ebony dark hair and golden eyes resembling the shining sun, the crown prince greatly took after the emperor's features. Even without announcing his identity, anyone could tell that he was of imperial blood.

''Mother empress…ah..'' Upon seeing a guest with his mother's garden, the crown prince who was excitedly rushing to his mother, slowed down until his momentum came to a stop.

The empress did not turn to her child and kept her gaze on the duke. She caught one of his hands tightly squeezed together as he did not remove his stare on her child.

'What are his thoughts?' She wondered. She wanted to draw his attention as he was going against etiquette again by not greeting her child as the crown prince, but he suddenly whipped his gaze to her.
