Massimo lay on his big bed without changing clothes, his blue eyes gleaming at the sky through the translucent glass that became the roof of his room.

"Five years, two months and nineteen days," said Massimo hoarsely, starting to count. "How much longer are you going to punish me like this, honey?"

Every night, for the past five years Massimo had patiently counted the days of solitude. Even though he didn't use a note-taking device, Massimo managed to calculate well the time that had passed without Gina's presence.

The sound of the waves at night is again Massimo's lullaby this time, after moving to Almeria five years ago Massimo immediately built a two-story house in a private area that no one could access. The house, which had many large windows, had been Massimo's residence alone for the last five years, no guards, no servants and no Martin. Massimo really lived alone.
