บท 12: CHAPTER 12: New Life

I shut my eyes closed and I was unconscious for a long time after that. About 3 to 4 hours of sleep later I woke up. I was in a different room then. I was no more in the ICU ward. I pulled myself up to sit up straight.

My body had gotten numb. I couldn't see properly and had a blurred vision. A nurse came in through the already opened door. She had brown curly hair and light brown, freshly tanned skin. She had a tray of medicine in her hand.

"How are you Lily?" she asked me while putting the tray on the side table.

Assuming that Lily was now my name, I replied, "I'm almost ok."

"You are a brave girl. We thought we lost you there for a second, but you are a tough bird. You'll be out there, going to parties with your friends in no time," she said in a much enthusiastic tone.

"Lily!" Chris said while coming in. She was accompanied by Jade.
