And as they always had, their spears bounced off the mutant's skin, leaving nary a scratch behind as it rampaged among them. A damaging Spell was the only way they could kill this thing, and Essenla didn't have any of those in her pocket besides the lackluster Candle Fire.

Morne stopped a few feet away from the encirclement, hearing the sounds of battle but unable to see it.

"Any day now!" Essenla called, bashing her shield into the mutant's face as it tried to lunge at her.
