Hearing her muffled words, Lucifel sighed and walked away from the entrance.

For once, he had no idea of what to do because his mind was entirely blank.

After Hazel heard his receding steps, she jolted up from the bed and walked to the mirror to take a good look at her face.

It wasn't her face. It was a borrowed face which unfortunately wouldn't be returned.

But then, how did everything come to this?

Hazel proceeded in the search of that specific object she had hidden under the pillow but she could not find it. She wondered if he had seen it and known what it was. If whatever she was suggesting was true, then he would be aware by now that her previous plan was to unveil his secret, the secret of Greensville. She could only pray that someone else found it instead of him.

After five minutes of searching through the chamber, Hazel decided to blindly look at the environment in one sitting. She wondered why the maids had not arrived yet but she didn't bother too much about it.
