บท 258: Something Peculiar

"I won't," he laughed in response. After a while, already at Lucifel's courtyard, Hazel frowned and then said, "What if that maid is a spy?"

He looked confused for a second before he recalled, "She would have to be executed."

She asked, "Is she a human?"

"The maids here are werewolves, they are trustworthy. Humans here are kept for labour and food."

Hazel only nodded and when they got to the entrance of the chamber, he hesitated, trying to know if her rule still holds. Surprising him, when she opened the door, she asked, "Why are you standing there?"

Lucifel replied almost immediately with a grumbling tone like a kid who had been told not to do something he couldn't do without, "Your payment. Remember?"

Hazel nodded and then said, "Of course, I do remember. However, it doesn't explain why you are standing outside."
